Chapter 16-Professionalism.

"Oh sorry. How may I help you?" She asked me.

"I am Aaradhya Mehra. Last week Mrs. Shaikh (Recruiting Lady) appointed me for the role of an analyst." I introduced myself.

"Oh yes, you must proceed to boss's cabin which is on the right. By the way, I am Mitali. Nice to meet you. Now go fast, boss doesn't appreciate late-comers and good luck." She seemed sweet.

I followed her advice and knocked the door of the cabin.

"Come in." I heard a very authoritative voice.

I entered the cabin and gasped in shock to witness someone who was totally unexpected.

Varun Shekhawat.
What were the chances!
Nikita's boyfriend is my boss. Seriously.
Why do I end up meeting my friends current or ex-boyfriends always?

He snapped his fingers.

"Yes, Do you have an appointment?" He asked me.

"Just have faith and be professional and dedicated." Riddhant's words started ringing in my head.

I nodded and handed him my appointment letter.

He grabbed it and lifted his head to speak.

"Okay Ms. Mehra , I must say you are on time. That's good. Wait for a second." He complimented me for my punctuality and turned to the intercom.

"Mr. Shah. Yes, she has arrived. Please come in."

He turned towards me and stood opposite to talk .

"Ms Mehra, As you don't have any experience so we'll observe your work for few months and also you'll be working under Mr. Rakesh Shah, Our senior analyst., You'll always report to him." Varun sir explained but was interrupted by a tap on the door

"Oh there he is. Come in Mr. Shah." He pointed towards the door.

A middle-aged man walked inside and stood next to me.

"Ms. Mehra, you will be briefed by Mr. Rakesh regarding your duties. All the best. I hope you give your best." His voice was authoritative but polite at the same time.

I guess he didn't recognize me.

"Sure sir, I won't let you down." I spoke with confidence.

He smiled and I followed Mr. Shah.

Mr. Shah, my senior showed me my cubicle and handed me my first job which was to study the financial documents and prepare a report.

I kept my belongings at the table and started working.
It was an easy report which included few graphic work.

After working for three damn hours, I completed the report and handed it to Mr. Shah just before the lunch time.
Later, I was introduced to few of the collegues by Mitali.

Kanchan, Deepti, Arshi , Kabir and Hemant were the team members of my team.
I befriended Kanchan who seemed a very nice girl and we even exchanged phone numbers.
At our lunch time,
they all invited me to the canteen hall.

While I was busy packing my laptop in the drawer as I was leaving for lunch, Varun sir called me in his cabin.

I was hesitant and nervous.

I hope my report doesn't contain any flaws.

I knocked the door and entered when he asked me to come in.

I was surprised to see someone unexpected.
