"Hey honey," my mom says waking me up peacefully.

"Hi mom, is the sun awake yet?" I ask.

"Not yet sweetheart," she says calmly and we move to my window, which had the perfect view. As we watch the sunrise she says what she say every morning when we watch it, "remember nothing, not the night or any problem, can defeat the sun from rising every morning, just like nothing can stop you," she smiles and we sit there for a little bit.

I'll always remember that sunrise. It was the prettiest one I've ever seen, it was also the last one I would ever watch with my mom before she died in the 9/11 terrorist attack.
