I grab my bags after I stand up from my seat. I hurry as fast as I can off the plane and step into the lobby, the familiar scent of England flowing into my lungs. I head over to the baggage claim, grab my stuff, and head out to the pickup door.
I sit on a bench, pulling out my phone and calling my brother. He picks up almost immediately. "Ethan, where in the world are you right now? You said you'd meet me here!" I speak into my phone, and I hear his laugh.
"I'm on my way, Autumn. Calm yourself, since I'm bringing a friend to meet you," he says, and I hear the friend laugh in the background.
"Hurry up at least, I want to get home as soon as possible," I say, then hang up, not wanting to hear his response.
I sit on the bench playing some game on my phone. After making it a decent way through, I look up and see a purple Lamborghini. My jaw drops as Ethan steps out, and I run to him.
"I can't believe you're here," he mumbles into my hair as I jump into his arms. He quietly holds me protectively, sharing our feelings with each other. I am so relieved to see him again, and I know he feels the same about me. "I'll put your bags in the car, how about you go talk to JJ," he says, and I enter the backseat of the lambo, keeping a carry-on with me.
"Hi, I'm Autumn," I say once I close the door.
"Cool, I'm JJ," the guy says a bit harshly, making me frown a bit. I don't say anything more so I don't annoy him. Ethan then climbs back into the car, smiling.
"You two are gonna get along, right?" he asks, and I nod, looking out the window. It's almost pitch black outside, and I can't see the stars as clearly as I could back "home". I used to be able to trace the different constellations while lying on the fields. "Since it's late, we're staying at the big house," Ethan says, confusing me.
"The big house? You're definitely not talking about your dick," I say, muttering the last part, giggling slightly. Ethan laughs and shakes his head.
"Nah, we have a few friends that live in one house, JJ is one of them," he replies, still smiling. He then turns on the radio and JJ plugs his phone in. He then plays some rap song that is really bad. I don't know what it's called, but they keep saying "keep up" over and over again.
I sigh loudly, trying to show my annoyance. "Can we listen to some good music?" I shout, and the volume gets turned down as the boys stop singing along.
"Jeez Autumn, you don't have to be so rude," Ethan says, but I can't detect the sarcasm in his voice.
"Well, it's not like it's your song, Ethan," I reply sharply.
"It's my song you dumb bitch," JJ says, shutting me up and wiping the smirk off my face. My eyes water up as those words spin around in my head.
"Ethan, how much longer until we're there?" I ask, trying to break the silence.
"Few minutes. You can survive back there," he says and I nod to myself, hoping that I don't actually cry. Sadly, I feel a couple tears stream down my cheeks. I curl up into a ball in the backseat, quietly crying. I accidentally let out a soft sob, then a whimper, then another sob. "Girl, you okay?"
I respond to Ethan by just full-out crying. The car goes completely silent, and I see JJ roll his eyes through the side mirror. I stop crying by the time we reach the house, which looks pretty big. We all get out, and I go to grab my bags from the back of the car. I pull them out and start rolling them towards the house.
Ethan opens the door, yelling, "Honey, I'm home!" I giggle a bit as JJ pushes past me into the house. My smile suddenly turns into a frown again. I just met him and he's incredibly rude to me.
Suddenly, a tall, blondish boy comes running down the stairs and hugs Ethan. I giggle as they continue to embrace. "I always knew you were gay, Ethan," I say, still laughing. They pull apart and Ethan sticks his tongue out at me.
"Autumn, this is Simon, my best friend," he says, and I shake Simon's hand.
"It's nice to meet you," I reply, being as polite as possible.
"It's nice to meet you too. Ethan talks a lot about you," Simon says, flashing a smile at me, which I return.
"Autumn, you will be staying here instead of at my place since they have a free room. Simon can give you a tour while I get Josh to help me bring in your bags," Ethan says, and he turns out of the house.
I really think I'm going to like it here.
A/N I'm really sorry I haven't been updating. I really want to write more, but I don't have the time I thought I would have. Since I'm taking AP Chemistry this year, my main priority is doing well in that class, mainly because I'm getting dual credit (high school and college) for it as well. I also need to keep my grades up in order to stay in TSA, since it's an afterschool club. I really would love to update more, but since I am getting into more and more advanced classes, I don't have the same amount I've time I used to have. I will probably upload an entire thing later on about where I've been and what has been happening that has stopped me from writing as often as I used to.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you stick around!
