I put my hand up against the mirror, letting my fingers brush the cold, smooth surface. I watched as my reflection mimicked the movements like he always does. I just stand there, still as a rock, staring into the seemingly empty and soulless eyes of the reflection.
The reflection blinked at me, making me take a startled step back. I was certain I wasn't the one who blinked first. The reflection brought their hand down and away from the mirror, giving me an awful, creepy, and sinister Cheshire Grin.
I took another step back, then another, and another until I finally felt the rounded metal door knob in my grasp. I didn't think it was a wise idea to turn my back to the reflection, who was still smiling that crazed grin.
I tried turning the door knob, but it wouldn't open. Reluctantly I turned towards the door, my back vulnerable and exposed to the mirror, and tried to get the door to unlock and open. Though before I even had the chance he was right behind me.
His icy cold breath on the back of my neck left me frozen in place from fear. He grabbed my shoulder and leaned his head over it. I tried to shake him off, but to no avail. He whispered one single word in my ear, only 4 letters.
"Soon."
I turned around to face him, wondering what he meant, but he wasn't there anymore. My reflection in the mirror was back to normal, no sinister grin or blinking.
