I've been running from him for what feels like eternity. I glance back to check if he's still following. When I suddenly trip on tree root landing on my right shoulder and groaning in pain. "Emily!!!Come out," he shouted. Shit he's gonna find me. I scurry to hide behind the tree hoping it would cover me from his view. I can hear his footsteps getting closer. I held my hand over my mouth trying to contain any noises that threatened to be made. "EMILY!!" he yelled, his voice slightly cracking towards the end. I hear his footsteps pass the tree as he sprints towards a noise-most likely made by an animal- yelling my name.
I let the breath I had been holding in go, allowing the tears to escape as well. I stand up leaning slightly against the tree. I glance to the direction he had run off to, letting out a sigh of relief when I don't see him. I turn around to find myself pinned against the tree. "EMILY, my, I've found you." His hands have found my hips holding on like if his life depended on. He slowly leans down, and kissing the corner of my lips. He kisses my forehead "I thought I lost you.." His breath fanning on my face because of his proximity.
"It's time to come home, Emily." he whispered while nibbling on my neck.
