About My Designs

Hey! I'm Zoey. Here's some (probably not) interesting stuff about my designs.

Program I use: GIMP

The first program I used: This website called ribbet.com where basically you can take a picture, put an effect on it, and layer over text.... Then I moved on to picmonkey.com, but that was pretty much the same thing but you could add stickers, I think? Once I moved onto gimp, there was no turning back! >:)

How long I've been designing: A little over 2 years.

My favorite type of graphic to make: Gifs! They're very challenging but fun. Thread designs is a close second, though.

My first cover: ...yes, I actually searched down my very first cover on my old computer. x) I was very proud of it back then... (Btw WHY IS IT SO BIG??)

The first contest I won: I won a onederstruck- contest and I was so happy! :') This is the cover that I won with:

Have I had any real design jobs: Yes! The first design job I had was to make a logo for a thrift store (sounds great, I know, but the business never worked out). I made a logo for a a music company and am currently redesigning their website. Also, I'm working for The Polyethnic, and am officially a graphic designer on their team! :)

Why'd I pick my username: Well, back then I knew I wasn't a "graphic queen" (I'm still not!) but I thought it was a cute name, and honestly when I joined Wattpad, I thought the username would be taken, so I added a dash at the end. Now that I think about it, it kinda comes off condescending (NOT MY INTENTION!) so I might change it in the future!

Is Zoey Boyd my real name:  Nah. Pen name. I probably would've given my real name from the start, my insane school (the one I used to go to) would google students' names and find their social media to make sure they're not doing anything bad. One girl got expelled because they found out she was a lesbian according to her social media. I hate that school SO MUCH! Anyway... yeah!

Do I know any people irl from Wattpad: Yes! Three people. Two are my friends, and one is my sister. >:)

Do I have skills aside from graphic design: Yes, I doodle a lot, mostly drawing chibis. I dabble a lil bit in calligraphy. I am an interior design nut. Seriously, my bookshelves only contain interior design books, graphic design books, misc art books, and notebooks.
