Vision blocked, by a single tear
Head blurred, by the unknown fear
Heat shattered, once again
Nothing new, but it hurts all the same.
The hand raised, moving slowly from side to side
Eyes blinking frantically, to brush the tears aside
Trying to silence the sobs that keep escaping out
Head full of wonder, heart full of doubt
The motion makes you sick, as you realise this is it
The plane leaves slowly, drifting upward, into the rarely visited
Your knuckles white, as you clutch the arm rest
Hands shaking violently, a lump in your chest
Breathe in, breathe out, is repeated in your head,
As you wish you were at home, snuggled up in bed
But where is home, is it anywhere you've been?
Is it here or there, or anywhere you've seen?
Head laid against the seat,
Eyes closed, ears listening to every heart beat
Suddenly you feel it, that feeling the good one
You open your eyes, and your back home, looking at the sun
You realise it was a dream,
Thank gosh it's not what it seems
But you look at your calendar, and your eyes well with tears
21 days until your face your fears
The fear of your heart, the one in your dream
That scary one of you leaving your team
You face the fact, that you know you'll fly
Cause, you life always ends in goodbye
