"Jane! JANE!" I opened my eyes and saw Cameron yelling for me in a very distorted voice. Then faster than my bruised brain could process, two large men suddenly appeared pulling out long almost pear shaped objects that made Cameron shake until only the whites of his eyes showed.
"CAMERON!" I yelled weakly.
I sat there stunned as they stuffed him into the back of one of their vans.
How could I have let this happen? I thought to myself.
I have to do something! I said to convince my body to up.
When I finally worked up enough energy to get up, I fell right back down after I realized how much pain I was actually in.
Exhausted and in much pain, I just laid there with tears rolling down my cheeks savoring the images of Cameron holding me under our favorite tree that were being flashed through my head. The first time we met, our first kiss and that tree. The tree was the only true symbol of our love. One of the most precious things in my life and I might never see it again.
