RING! RING! came the sound of my alarm clock. I slammed my hand onto it, making the ringing stop. I climbed out of bed and walked to the other side of the room to a wall that had my calendar hanging on it. I jumped in excitement.
"Today's the day dad!" I screamed down the stairs. I ran out of my room and down the stairs so fast that I tripped at the bottom.
"Slow down, Kerena," Dad said. He had his hands on his hips and was staring at me. "You still need to get dressed and have your breakfast." He held his hand out to help me get up.
"Okay," I said. I took his hand and he pulled me to my feet.
I walked back up the stairs and got dressed from a white t-shirt and pink shorts to a white t-shirt with a red hoody, black sneakers and light blue skinny jeans, then I put my dark blond hair in two small buns in the back of my head with a small braid on the right side of my head. Then I walked back down the stairs and sat down at the table for breakfast. I ate my food as fast as I could. When I finished eating I hugged Dad and said good-bye, grabbed my bag and than left to go on my Pokemon journey.
First, I walked to the Professor's lab to get my first Pokemon. I was so excited! As soon as I got there, two people met me at the door, and without a word they walked me too the Professor.
"I'm Professor Maple," said a man in a long white lab coat, he had black hair in a small pony tail he was wearing black jeans and dark blue shoes. "What's your name?"
"I'm Kerena."
"You must be here for your Pokemon," Professor Maple said.
"Yes, I am," I replied.
"Okay," Professor Maple said. He snapped his fingers and another person came into the room with a cart and three Pokemon. On the cart, there was a strange box looking device and several red and white Pokéballs. I could tell that one Pokemon was a fire type, another was a water type, and the last one was a grass type.
The fire type looked sort of like a dog, but most of it's dog feachers were firey. The water type looked like a llilipad, but it had a face and small skinny legs coming from the bottom of it's body and a green bow above it's face to the right, it must of been a female. The grass type looked exactly like a huge, hovering, sparkly bow with a face. Creepy.
"Here's your Pokédex and some Pokéballs," the person said, handing me the box and the Pokéballs.
"Now you can choose your Pokemon," Professor Maple said.
I held up my Pokedex and pointed it at the fire type Pokemon, and the Pokedex said, "Flamer: the play Pokemon. Flamer might be playful, but in battle it can be really tough."
"Can I have flamer?" I asked.
"Yes you can. Here's his Pokeball," Professor Maple said, handing me another Pokeball.
"Thank you, Professor," I said smiling.
"Your welcome. And Kerena, before you leave town, go to the Pokemon Center," he said.
"Alright, I will," I said. Then I left for the Pokemon Center. When I got there, I went inside and saw a crowd of trainers standing around a Pokemon League poster.
"Do you want to register?" Nurse Joy asked me.
"Yes, I do." I explained.
"Okay then, put your Pokedex right here," she said, pointing to a spot on the counter next to her.
So I did.
"Now you are registered," she said.
"Thank you!" I replied
Then I left town to start my Pokemon journey.
