But she takes me by surprise when I'm pushed back and forced to roll over. I move onto my back and the brown, curled locks of Lucy fall around us. She forms onto my torso and lays her head in my neck.

"What's on your mind, Luc?" I ask, her body curled on mine. She fits to me perfectly and I don't plan on letting her go.

"I feel different," she says, my fingers playing with the end of her hair. Her fingers are tracing over the swallow tattoo, my eyes watching her closely.

"How so?" I ask, curious and desperate in finding out how she's feeling.

"I feel assured, but more or less at ease. But...thank you," she whispers, my hand grabbing hers. I kiss her knuckles and wrap my arms around her.

"Why are you thanking me?" I wonder, her lips lightly kissing the crook of my neck.

"Because you've made me realize I have to trust and love someone before the first time," she whispers, my lips kissing her hair. She smells of coconuts and I honestly cannot think of anything more addicting. I kiss her hair a lot, and I love the smell.

"So you think...we could potentially love each other?" I ask, her head burying deeper into my neck. It's most likely to hide a blush or shock.

"I-I don't know," she breathes out. "We need time."

I love it when she says 'we'. It means she's feeling the same thing and knows we're together for real.

"I agree."

Her soft fingers move to my side and feel over the scar I've mentioned, her touch electrifying. Her nose brushes my neck and she kisses me again, my eyes closing.

"Do you want to help me paint my place today?" I ask, her head nodding. Our perfect morning is disrupted by my phone, my hand reaching down to my jeans to grab it. I force Lucy to stay on me and I answer the call.

"Hey Styles. What to catch the game at my place tonight? The whole team's in," Niall says, my lips kissing Lucy's forehead.

"What time?" I ask, keeping my eyes on Lucy, who's fixated on my tattoos.

"Meet up around seven. You in?" he asks, my head nodding.

"Yeah. I'll be there," I tell him, hanging up.

I hug Lucy tight and she lifts her head, kissing my cheek. "What game are you watching?" she asks, my lips curving. I'm glad she's not nervous much anymore. Her sentences used to be so broken up, but now I hear her speak perfectly.

"The basketball game. Dub nation," I grin, her laugh absolutely adorable.

She crawls off me and I get up too, following the petite girl into her kitchen. I smile as I watch her hips sway, her bottom a sight I tend to watch. I'm still a guy, and I definitely take up any opportunity I can to watch.

"Coffee?" she asks, turning around and catching my wandering eyes. She blushes and I grab hold of her hips, kissing her cheek.

"I'll take some coffee," I tell her, her body curling into me. "Don't be so shy. You're a sight for sore eyes, beautiful."

I let her go and lean against the counter, watching her. She smiles and looks over at me, my lips curving. I pull my hair back and she comes back to me with two mugs. My lips press against her forehead and I smile down at her, her hazel eyes shining up at me.

I look down at her puffy lips, the natural feature something I've felt against mine. Our first kiss was nothing short of perfection. Her lips are something I've wanted to kiss for a while now, but I knew if I was going to get a kiss from her, she'd have to initiate it. And she did and I didn't want to let her go.

My hand sets the mug down and I grab her cheek, leaning down and kissing her. I can't look at her lips and not want to kiss them. She sets her mug down and grabs my waist, my hands holding her cheeks.

My eyes close and she allows me to keep our kiss moving, the soft flutter of her lips absolutely mind-blowing. As I arch my back to kiss her better, a knock on her door is heard and I frown.

"Who knows you live here?" I ask, her eyes blown wide.

"You're the only one," she whispers, my body moving to the door. I open her door and a smaller man stands in front of me.

"Hi, I'm Adam. I saw you just moved here," he says, my eyebrows frowning.

"This is my girlfriend's house. I don't want you coming here anymore," I say, not enjoying the idea of another man on the same floor as her. I know I am, but I am extremely protective of her.

"Oh, sorry man. I didn't mean to be rude," he says, waving before walking off.

I shut the door and turn back to the kitchen, but stop when I see Lucy standing with her arms crossed.

"You're mean when you're jealous," is all she says and I calm down.

"Yeah, well, we both react differently under jealously," I say, wrapping my arms around her. I kiss the top of her head and she wraps her arms around my waist.

"He's just trying to be nice," she says and I roll my eyes. Luckily she can't see me.

"I don't trust him. He might want something," I say, her head lifting. She smiles up at me and I feel absolutely calm, her eyes bright. "I don't trust him."

"Clearly," she laughs, my lips pressing a soft kiss to her smile. And it's just like that my anger and irritation is dissolved and I'm back in Lucy's hands.
