My family will never understand the choice that I have made. The decision to join Phantom is mine and mine alone. I know that they will hate me for becoming what they had worked so hard to keep me from being. They could only hide my true abilities from me for so long. They thought that if they put me down and kept me sick and completely dependent on them that they could somehow change my future. They feared so much what I could and have become. People fear the unknown. Even now I cannot fully hate them for years of drugging and phsychological torment, because they were told I would turn evil. They were lied to and manipulated for years. The fact is they were not my real family anyway. They were strapped with the responsibility of stunting the growth of what they classified as an "ultrasensitive". It was fool-proof they were told. My choice to be stronger, my ability to overcome it was unheard of. But I did. I unknowingly set the ball in motion for war by simply not giving up. Phantom was giving me a chance at life. The danger was in the can of worms I had opened up. My existence tipped the scale in favor of Phantom, striking fear into those who hunted us, those who in their own right were just like us.
