"Percy! Are you ready to go?" Sally Jackson shouted from the doorway.

"Yeah, I'm coming!" Percy exclaimed back as he walked into the main room with a duffle bag swung over his shoulder.

"Alright then. Let's go!" She said as she walked out the front door and down the stairs of the apartment building. Percy followed behind her, making sure the door was closed and locked behind him.

When they got outside they both climbed into Sally's little blue car. Percy dropped his bag beside him and buckled his seat belt.

Percy couldn't wait to get back to camp. He had decided that he wanted to go to camp year round instead of struggling in some school. Percy had gone with the easier option.

He found it weird that his mom had wanted to drive him to long Island. He usually just called for Blackjack. Percy shrug it off. After he had disappeared for months on end last time he didn't really question her decision to take him there herself.

Sally pulled forward and started driving. Percy decided to close his eyes and take a nap. He loved taking naps on car rides. He always felt so refreshed afterwards.

The ride was very short. When Sally turned off the car the lack of vibrations woke Percy up. He looked out the window and noticed that they were still in the city. They had stopped in front of Goode High School.

"Mom what are we doing?" Percy asked with a confused expression on his face.

"Sorry sweetie, we're waiting for Paul. He wanted to come too." She said softly. She seemed weird to Percy, but he didn't understand why.

They waited outside the school for a few more minutes before Paul walked out of the front doors and headed for the car. When he got in he gave a cheery hello to everyone. Sally started driving again.

Percy decided to try and sleep again. He wanted to get some rest before he got to camp. Sometimes things got a little hectic there.

When he dozed off he started dreaming. He was having an IM conversation with Annabeth. He couldn't see anything around him due to the darkness. He could only see her face.

"I'll see you next summer Seaweed Brain." She said before the iris message went out. Percy was left alone in the darkness.

Percy woke up sometime later. He couldn't remember anything else that happened in the dream. Annabeth's words continued to echo in his mind. I'll see you next summer.

In front of him, Sally and Paul were having a hushed conversation. Percy couldn't really pick out any of their words so he decided to just stare out the window. They appeared to be on some kind of backroad. Percy really didn't know, he had only ever been driven to camp one other time and it had been pitch black in the middle of the night. The first time he had gone to camp so many years ago.

He watched the scenery pass by in a blur, not really lingering on anything for too long. He was a little confused again. The ride seemed to be taking too long.

Up ahead, a big green location sign cast shadows over the car. Percy struggled to read it as the letters danced around in his head. By the time he figured out what it said the sign was far behind them.

Percy cleared his throat, gaining the attention of the two adults in front of him. When they where both looking at him he spoke what was on his mind. "What are we doing in Ohio?"
