You sat there, humming along to whatever song was stuck in your head, watching as your friends were playing cards. You noticed that one of them was still staring at the cards in his hand. "Hey Joey, wake up! It's your turn, airhead." you shouted.

One of the other kids - with brown hair that made him look like a Tsunomon - snuck up behind you. "Oh, isn't he cute when he's thinking?" he said.

(Shut the crag up, Tristan!) you thought.

"Hey, Tristan. Yugi's teachin' us how to play Duel Monsters." Joey responded for you.

"Drooling Monsters?" Tristan joked.

"Duel Monsters, you mousebrain." you replied, shoving Tristan off your back.

"They've been at it for hours." a box-banged brunette girl said, "Joey and (Y/N) are starting to get the hang of it, but Yugi's like an expert."

"Ok Yugi, it's time to duel." Joey said, changing the subject, sort of. About time he did something. "Pretty good move, huh guys?" he continued arrogantly.

"Yup. But not good enough, right, Yugi?" you respond.

"Exactly." Yugi said, drawing Blackland Fire Dragon.

"That's what you get for being so arrogant just now! A card like that completely wipes you out!" you said strictly. "But, you did fine. Yugi and I just happen to have better cards."

"Yeah, ya see, my grandpa owns a game shop and (Y/N)'s brother used to collect these before he got a job there, so we get all our best cards from them." Yugi responded.

"Your own game shop? What're we waitin' for?" Joey bolted out of his chair.

"Sure, why not? Maybe we can get them to show us the super rare cards they've got."

As the rest of your friends are talking, you hear a voice in your head, but you swear someone was talking to you. (Rare cards? Could one of those be the card I've been searching for?)

"Grandpa, I'm home." Yugi says when you get there.

"And I see you've brought company." your future in-law replies. Well, that's what your brother likes to refer to him as.

Speaking of your brother, he walks out to greet you as kind and serious as ever "How was school?" he asks.

"Fine, I guess." you respond. "Hey, can you two show us your super cool, 'Netflix and chill, literally chill', rare cards?"

"Rare cards? You mean our special cards?" The two pondered for a second. Yugi's grandfather nodded and Torin went to the back of the shop and returned with a white box filled to the rim with Duel Monsters decks. "You guys are in for a treat. We don't take these out too often."

Yugi's grandfather opens the small box containing his card while your brother removes his card from inside the lid. "Behold, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" Torin calls out as they pull out their cards.

Just then, your 'victim' barges in. "I could care less about you, Torin (L/N). Just hand over the Blue-Eyes, old man!" he said, with the words coming out of his mouth this time.

"Seto Kaiba..." Torin responded suspiciously. Yugi's grandfather refuses to let Seto have the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the 'billionaire' student storms out of the shop.

"Why'd ya do that? Now, he's gonna come back with a katana!" Joey replied.

"These cards are worth more to us than that jerk could ever throw our way." Torin said "We'd think the same if they some rusty old common cards. Some friends of ours gave us these." he continued. You were able to hear his thoughts, but it sounds like he's actually speaking. (Mine was given to me by a friend I'm worried I'll never see again...)

(A/N): Dun, dun, DUUUUN! So, I decided I would split this into two parts instead of taking so much time in and out to write just one. Hope you like the idea of basing it off the anime. Also, try to guess who gave Torin the Red-Eyes in the comments.
