Ace

Part 1

"Did you see the new transfer student in year eleven?" Ash asked, her eyes shining. I looked at her, an eyebrow raised. "I'm guessing he's cute?" I asked teasingly. "Obviously! He's so hot!" She squealed as we walked through the hallway, pushing past students and tripping on empty juice packets. The last bell had rung to announce the end of the school day and students flooded into the hallway the minute class was over. Some were chattering and some were playing around with basketballs and skateboards while the couples were making out against the lockers or in a corner. "What's his name?" I asked, raising my voice a little so that Ash could hear me through all the noise. "Ace!" She almost yelled, which made a guy in front of us turn around to look at us and which made Ash go "oh shit."
I stared at the blonde haired guy. He stared right back at me, his ocean blue eyes piercing my midnight black. "Uh...I thought I heard you call my name," he said confused. "Oh hey! Ace! Haha yeah I was just telling her about you," Ash laughed nervously. The guy, whose name was Ace, gave us a crooked smile. "Oh you're that girl I met yesterday! In the ice cream shop?" He exclaimed, walking over to us. "Yeah. So you're in year eleven right?" Ash asked him casually. I just kept staring at him like an idiot. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He looked like a bottle of Nutella. "Yeah but they told me I was shifted to year twelve," He said with a shrug. "Which...?" Ash asked her voice drowning. I looked at Ash, then back at Ace. "12-A I think," Ace replied, scratching the back of his head. "OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS?" Ash gasped and started to slap my hand in excitement. "That's......our class..." I muttered to myself, my heart racing inside my chest. "Why? What's wrong?" He asked confused. "That's our class!" Ash almost screamed. Ace blinked. "Seriously? That's cool. See you guys tomorrow then," he said with another heart melting half smile. Waving goodbye, he ran outside and jumped on one of his friends. "REE CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! ACE IS COMING TO OUR CLASS!" Ash grabbed my shoulders and yelled in my ear. "Dude I get that the guy is pretty darn cute but you need to calm down," I said laughing. "You like him dontcha? I saw you staring at him with hearts in your eyes," Ash said with a smirk. "Shut up," I mumbled. But I couldn't stop smiling. Ash put an arm around me and together we headed home.
