Dear diary:
My therapist says writing in you will help my mental attitude but I don't buy it. I think I'm becoming more masochistic since becoming a shapeshifter, I find myself getting injured a lot and liking it. I'm trying not to be as sarcastic too often but it's too easy to fall back into old habits.
For two years now I have been training with the shapeshifting pack to make sure I am in control of what I change into to include what species. Unlike them I can only shift between the cat and dog families. I think my favorite though would have to be the Grey Wolf.
At least I'm not the youngest member anymore, last year I found a cub while on normal scouting of the territory. I found his mother too but the humans were already leaving the area with her hide. Since I was the one that found the little guy I have been put in charge of raising him.
I have fallen in love with the little stinker. Always finding him getting himself caught in brambles or even stuck in a tree because he couldn't get back down. He has grey-blue eyes that change to green when he's emotional, while he's in human form his hair is a sandy blonde, so when he's in his other forms he has practically a white coat which is interesting when he changes into a badger. I love that his forms are diverse like the rest of the pack but he's only mastered changing into leopard, badger, and fox. He can change into wolf or even coyote but his fur ends up looking like he got into a scuffle, all patchy and miscolored, needs to work on those harder. I guess I can't expect a lot he is barely two human years, the Alpha of our pack is impressed that he is able to transition so well between as many forms as he does. Oh, I'm forgetting something aren't I... I've named him Teni Cantos.
Since he's mine to bring up I've been training him to learn to scout with me; besides it keeps him busy and out of trouble with the pack members. He needs to learn how to sit still and listen for noises that don't belong in our forest, or look for signs of intruders. I have Dia Totan help put scents down on the trail for him to learn or have her leave what would be a human trail, broken twigs and squashed plants, that way Teni can learn, I am told this is how all cubs are trained. I am still learning a lot since I am basically a pup myself when it comes to the shapeshifting life.
Well Diary I suppose I'll get on with my day since Teni has already begun his day by thinking he can sneak out of the den.
