Emily's POV

     I walked into homeroom holding my red binder and mlp pencil case.

     "Hey beautiful." Laurence said as I sat down next to him.

     I blushed. "Hey I love it when you call me that, but please not so loud when we're in school!" I whisper scolded. I hit him lightly on the shoulder with my cutensil pen.

     He laughed and put one arm around me. "Oh hush you love it when I do that."

     I made sure no one was looking then kissed his cheek real quick. "You know I do." I grabbed my sketchbook and pencil out of my binder.

Marci and Dante walked in. "Whatcha drawin Em?" Marci asked, sitting down on the other side of me.

"I dunno, I'm just doodling."

"Cool," she pulled out her iPad and listened to the Her Last Words remix by Nightcore. She sang along quietly and started doodling on her binder.

I sketched a person, a girl. She had black hair and wore a gown, wings spread out of her back.

"That's cool Em!" Dante said glancing at Laurence.

I blushed. "Yeah yeah, whatever. It's only graphite on paper. It's not that good."

"How can this be faaaair?" Marci sang, not paying attention to our conversation.

Dante hit her on the arm slightly. "What?" She asked.

We all smiled and talked about anime.

"Hey Emily? I have a surprise for you." Laurence said.

I looked at him confused. It wasn't my birthday, or Valentine's Day, or anywhere near Christmas. "What is it?" I asked.

Then he looked around to make sure no one was watching and kissed me real quick.

"Happy Friday Emily." He laughed.

"Oh Laurence, always finding an excuse for everything." I laughed. "You don't have to find one for that though, I'll take those any day of the year." I said kissing him on the cheek.

Marci looked at me, forming a heart with her hands. "Hearts!" She said smiling.

"Well you're one to talk!" I said.

Laurence put an arm around me. I don't know why, but I felt safe around him. Even though he was a shadow night.

The bell rang. First period. PE...

The good part was I had it with Marci, Dante, Laurence, and Howard.

We all walked down the hallway.

Marci and Howard were strutting singing "Feed Me Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors. I laughed and Laurence put his arm around my shoulder.

"FEEEEEEEEEED ME SEEEEEEYMOOUR!! FEED ME ALL NIGHT LOOOOOOOOONNG!!!!" They sang.

We split up to change.

After I got dressed into my gym clothes, I put up my shoulder length hair into a ponytail. As did Marci.

We walked into the hallway and found Dante trying to do a pull-up. He did a few then Laurence tried.

"Cmon Laurence you can do it!" I yelled.

He managed to do one then fell to the ground.

"Get up, you can do better than that!" Mr. Fluent yelled.

Laurence brushed off the dust from the ground then tried again. He did one and a half.

He jumped down then walked over to me, winded.

"Alright guys time to warm up!" Ms. Combs said.

We all ran to the track door and climbed the few stairs to the track, we always ran as, like, a posse. It was fun. The order was Marci in front, then Dante kind of next to her but behind. Then me and Laurence, and Howard bringing up the rear.

The song Here by Alessia Cara came on and Marci started rocking out, she loved that song. Then I Know What you Did Last Summer came on and Laurence and I sang it as a duet, still while running. Yeah try singing and running at the same time bro! We're badass!

Laurence grabbed my hand and held it while we ran.

"Alright guys you can go down!" Our teacher yelled over the music.

We walked down the stairs to the gym and say on the bleachers. We were playing soccer.

"Pinneis! I need more of you on defense! Marciline! Get out on offense!" Ms. Combs yelled.

"Laurence! You're goalie!" Mr. Fluent yelled.

I joined pinni defese to help Laurence guard the goal.

Howard was against me, being on non-pinni offense with Marci. Dante was against Marci, being pinni defese with me and Laurence.

The whistle blew and Howard passed the ball to Marci, she kicked it out of Dante's reach. They were verycompetitive against each other, it was cute and funny at the same time. Laurence and I weren't really the sporty kind of type so we weren't really competitive, well against each other that is.

Dante stole the ball from Marci and passed it to me. I kicked it to JJ who was on pinni offense.

I looked at Laurence and he winked, which made me blush.

Time skip

"Alright guys time to change up!"

Marci had scored three goals, Howard scored nothing. When we switched sides, I scored one goal, Laurence almost scored one, and Dante scored two.

"Marci you should join soccer! You're really good!" I said.

"Me? Hell no! To much effort and getting up early!" She laughed.

Today was off to a great start!
