The Darkness Within

Chapter 1 : Colors

A long time ago, since the dawn of ancient times where magic exists, the world was divided into different parts whereas each part corresponded different colors. Colors that have unique and different powers, different abilities. These people were called Color Knights. Knights that have sworn to protect an item that protects them the evil that lurks inside their hearts and all that is precious. There was a law that stated ''no man shall indulge in dark sorcery and dark cults'' but then there really was a man that rebelled against that law because he lusted for more power. He also sough to become the most powerful color knight  and rule the world; kind of like your typical plan for any typical villain. The oracle knew about this and needed to seek a legendary hero who can defeat our typical villain. So, the oracle told the king which then ordered his men to find the hero but no one seemed to answer his prayers until one final moment, a boy who was about in his teenage years steeped up to face this deadly quest. Battles were fought and friends were made through tough challenges and sad moments. They finally reached the evil sorcerer and vanquished him and the world was at peace again. Or so you thought it was...

We then travel forward in time where we stumble upon a particular family; a family with happiness and life-changing choices. Now, a particular boy named Leonard Hunt attended the world's most famous academy called Hillside Academy where color knights and humans alike co-exist. "Alright class, settle down. This time I'll be introducing to you, a new transfer student; please be kind to her if you all agree with her being here.'' The teacher said as she gestured for the new student to come inside. The room was stunned and filled with awe as the new student went inside.''C'mon, introduce yourself. No need to be shy.'' She asked again and the girl spoke

''My name is Annabeth Cortez, I hope I can be friends with everyone and get along with you all.'' She then bowed down her head and the teacher showed her; her seat which was in front of Leonard's chair. Now Annabeth had her aqua dyed hair with seemingly deep green eyes. She always wore a blue beanie and glasses to match with and a grey sweater and black jeans. ''Okay class, turn your text books to page 17.'' The teacher decided to start. Her name was Ms. Faith.

''You know, this class was rumored to be the best of the best.'' said the devious seat mate beside her. ''Oh don't mind him, he's just delusional.'' Another seat mate tried to reason out with his classmate. After class, everyone took their lunch in the cafeteria. There were different groups of people hanging out together; namely, the emos, the jocks, the nerds, etc...

Annabeth was sitting with her newly made friends and somehow noticed Leonard from a distance. ''Who's that?'' She asked with a curious look. ''Oh, him? He's Leonard; one of the top ranked color knights in the academy.'' Her classmate answered and continued eating. Leonard was always mysterious in many ways and had no friends. He wore a black hoodie with a white shirt underneath that says Life on it. He also had a black-ish hair and fiery red eyes and black pants. Lunch ended and they all went back to class; after that, things went problematic when Leonard got disturbed by a troublemaker and made a ruckus amongst themselves ''I said leave me alone. I have nothing to do with you and your devious plans.'' Leonard told him to back off but the trouble maker whose name was Paul Adamson which was also his rival insisted that he disturbed Leonard more till he got angry.
