"What is the difference between dating someone and being in a relationship?"

Some believe they are two entirely different things. While others believe they are the same.

I think it depends on the people, really. We're old enough to where we shouldn't have to wait for a girlfriend/boyfriend proposal... If you're dating you have no obligation to the other person, but "morally" you should. And if you're dating them and you feel like you need the label "boyfriend/girlfriend," then I believe you're not in it for the person, but for the title or idea of a relationship. Dating doesn't necessarily mean you're in a relationship, but rather a stepping stone to a relationship. That's what I believe... Because a real relationship means so much more to me than going on a few dates with someone.
