Beginning

Her life changed starting from the moment she first stepped into that academy.

It was a bright and sunny day, the air seems to have been filled with excitement. The brown haired girl with big, shiny brown eyes jumped as she looked at the clock upon the wall. The girl's name was Rinka, and it was her first day of entering her new high school --- one of the best schools on this land. 

Being one of the best schools, Aki academy is filled with magic prodigies. The students' magic levels are usually above 1000, which is extremely rare even for adults.

Now, Rinka's magic level is barely 500, and how she she got in was all thanks to her rare magic type.

There are four magic types in this world. First and the most commonly used, physical magic. The magic possesses in your body and most likely your magic wand. Well, not all people uses wands, so physical magic is often used in hand-to-hand combat.  Second, summoning magic. This type is what Rinka possesses, which is extremely rare even in Aki academy. Third, magic such as telepathy or teleportation. Those are magic for minor uses, and people can learn them and learn physical magic at the same time. Last, weapon magic. As its name tells you, those magic users uses weapons. The magic possesses within the weapons, and the weapons has a 'soul'. Under extremely powerful magic users hands, those 'souls' can achieve to be shown in human form, and have a will of its own.

But there is one more genre. Espers. They possesses either mysterious unknown magic or all magic told above.

Anyways, lets get back to Rinka.

She is now in her school and kinda lost her way...not her fault, this school is actually really big.

REALLY, big.

-----After a while----

Rinka signed and looked down at her watch, nearly screaming after that.

"Oh God I AM GONNA BE LATE THE BELL IS GONNA RING!!!!!!"

She started running blindly, suddenly bumped into someone and fell over.

"Ow..." She thought as she put her hand on her head, then looked up at the person who bumped her.

Her eyes widened as she gazed upon the boy before her. 

He had short, straight dark blue hair like the colour of the ocean, a beautiful face with deep blue eyes as clear as the sky and a sharp and sober glare. He is quite tall and fit, with slender arms and legs.

That's not why she gazed though. It is the strong magic she feel coming from him. She has a especially great sense of magic level towards people. As estimated, this boy before her's level would be at least 3000.

The boy turned and walked away silently, leaving Rinka there as if nothing happened.

Rinka sighed and got up quickly, finding a sign and headed towards the hall.

"All new students please be seated, the ceremony is starting soon!" The teacher's deep, serious voice came out from the radio. 

All the students found a spot and sat down. The girl sitting beside Rinka looked nervous, so Rinka decided to talk to her and make a friend at this completely unknown school.

"Hi students！ I am your principle of this academy, just call me Mr.J! Please be quiet and listen as what I'm going to say next will be very important!" The principal of this academy is an elf, Rinka heard that he is 200 years old already, but he looks like a man in his twenties. Her senses tell her that this man is dangerous.

"Daichi, shut up! Mr.J is talking, I don't feel like getting in trouble because you chose to be a idiot!" a boy seated near Rinka whisper-yelled at his friend next to him. 

"Awww Shouichi-kun you're so mean i just wanted to tell you about the new issue of Kuro suki no orochi with you" his friend replied with a sad-ish look on his face. 

"I'll talk about it later Daichi, anyway, Mr.J said something was going to be important so shut up" 

"Fine meanie"  Daichi said as shouichi turned away from his friend.

"Now students as you may have heard there has been an outbreak of black fire" a couple gasps could be heard from students "It may be scary but it will not get into this school, the forests are our out of bounds as we don't want any student catching this disease."

"Ok, children, I'm done about this for now, we will be having a magic test! This will be to determine your level and your ranking in this school! Our school has a ranking system, arranging from 0 stars to 5 stars! The higher your ranking is, the better you're treated here. So, give it your all and get started!" Mr.J announced this 'magic test' thing as the crowds  bursted with comments, negative and positive.

"Oh, and one more thing, there will be a king and a queen for each grade, determined by this 'duel system' we've set up. All people gets a chance to duel, and the final winner will be the leader of the entire year level! Don't worry, our system is completely safe and so you won't get hurt or feel pain when struck by others, but your 'hp bar' would go down. When your hp bar is gone, you are 'dead' in this duel. You won't actually die, calm down! Now go and do your tests and come to the duel zone afterwards!"

All the students headed to different sections. The principle used telepathy and gave all students a number, so that they know where to go to.

Her eyes opened wide as she looked at the people in her group. Their level is just....

Way too high.

There is the boy from this morning with a 'this is so annoying' expression on his face. A girl with blonde hair as shiny as the sunshine and beautiful blue eyes, having a cheerful smile on her face, and another boy with hazel hair and green eyes, speaking to the boy with deep blue hair. Another girl came right after she did, and now this is the big surprise.

The red haired girl had a pair of eyes with a golden eye and a red eye, strange but fascinating, her glares however are sharp and cold. She was quite fit and had a slender body. Her hair is long and blood red, going all the way down to her waist. She looks like a weak person, but oh, you are so wrong about that.

Her magic level is over the roof.

If Rinka's analysations were correct, she might even be stronger than the dude from this morning. Well, it seems that all it takes to figure out how strong they truly are is the test they are facing right now.

"Ok students, how about introducing yourselves first!" The elegant teacher winked at them and said.

The blonde girl spoke first.

"Nice too meet you! My name is Shinako and I look forwards to being friends with you!" She said cheerfully.

"Hi! I'm Dashiell! Nice too meet you all," as Dashiell introduced himself, he hooked his arms on the dark blue haired boys shoulders, "just call me Dash if you want!"

The blue haired boy turned his head the other way.

"Akira." He said with no expressions on his face, and that was all.

Rinka introduced herself next with the brightest smile possible on her face. And now there is only the red haired girl left.

"I'm Shirley." She answered short and fast, then glanced at Akira. They seem to know each other.

"Please strike this with your most powerful attack." The teacher said seriously.

This is where Rinka's life in this school begins.
