Danny
The summer I met her was the hottest summer I had ever witnessed. People were staying indoors, to hide from the sun's harsh rays. Even though it was hot, I enjoyed walking up to the old wishing well, on top of the hill behind my house, before the sun rose. These moments were the best moments of my day.

Watching as the sun rose up and began to shine on the whole town. It was like watching the whole world wake up from their slumber and begin their day. The sun reflected of all the roof tops in the town and lit up the streets slowly, until there was not a street that was not basked in its glorious rays.

This morning was like no other. I turned my alarm of as it rang to tell me it was 5;45 am and time to begin my morning walk. I slipped out of my house quietly, so not to wake my mother, and headed for the hill behind my house.

I always found it peaceful at this time in the morning. Nobody was about, there was no talking, no noises other than the chirp of the birds and the slight rustle of the summer breeze through the trees.

As I reached the top of the hill, I could see the wishing well just a bit further into the field. But something was different today. There was somebody already here, looking deep into the wishing well.

As I walked closer the other person heard my footsteps and looked up. I stopped in my tracks. She was beautiful. She had wavy, brown hair covering half her face from looking up from the well. Her eyes were a bright green, almost as bright as the grass surrounding us.

As she looked up from the well, she smiled and blinked. I smiled back at her and stuck out my hand for her to shake, ' My names Danny, nice too meet you.' She took my hand and shook it and utter one beautiful word, 'Dakota'.
