"Damn, Julee."

We're driving home. Her scene back there was AMAZING. I've never seen anyone stand up to Brian like that before. But Julee, wow. It was incredible. Whoa wait. Mikey Way is gushing over a girl because she showed up a guy? Today is weird.

She giggles and takes a bite of her cheeseburger. "What? He was pissing me off."

"I've just never seen anyone stand up to Brian like that." I shrug.

"Well, I hope he doesn't bother you anymore."

By now we've turned onto our street. I park back into my driveway. Julee looks across to her house and sees that her mom is staring at us with stern eyes. Julee bites her lip and turns to me nervously. "I forgot. My mom, she..."

"She's strict?" I turn off the car and turn towards her.

"Strict, and yet doesn't give a shit. She's weird. Like she cares if I go places, but really doesn't care about me at all. I could die and she wouldn't care."

"I doubt that."

She moves her eyebrows. "You'll see."

With that, she gets out of the car and motions me to come with her. I bring the food with us as we cross the vacant street. Her mom's stilettoed foot taps impatiently on the concrete. I can tell she's strict, but not the 'I don't give a shit' type of mom.

"Where have you been, Juleane." She snaps.

"Getting food with Mikey." Julee points her thumb at me and takes a sip of her soda.

Her mom looks at me up and down. I feel even more nervous. "Another emo? God, I swear I did something wrong with you and Hannah."

I try to speak, "with all do respect-"

"Leave, now. 'Mikey'." She snaps to me.

Julee turns to me and waves, smiling nervously. I can tell she doesn't want me to leave. I wave back and start to leave, when she pulls me into a hug. Julee slips a piece of paper into my pocket, and releases me. I walk away like nothing happened, and run into the house.

Gerard's awake. I see him rumaging through the cabinets, trying to find food. When he sees that I have McDonalds, he tramples. me. "FOOD!!!"

"Take it and don't kill me, Gee!"

He giggles and rips open the bag, taking out his cheeseburger. I hand him his drink and sit up. What was I gonna do? Oh yeah! The paper she gave me! I pull it out of my pocket. It's a piece of the reciept. I flip to the back, and a note is written on it.

"Call my cell phone in 5 after I go inside."

Under that, her cell phone number is written down. I dash towards the window and look outside. I see her mom push Julee inside, and close the door. I wait the amount of time before picking up the home phone and dialing her number.

"Yo!" I hear Julee's voice on the other line.

"It's Mikey!"

"Micky! Whats up?"

"Micky? Really? Nothing really. My brother just kind of trampeled me for the food."

"HEY!" Gerard yells.

"Oh wow! What's his name?"

"MY NAME BE GEERRRAAARRRDDD!"

"Hi Gerard!"

Oh I can tell these two can be friends. I roll my eyes and listen to the other side. Julee's mom's voice is heard. She's yelling at her. "Emo bitch! Running off when we JUST moved in! You're grounded! And get off that damn phone before I make you!"

I hear the door slam shut. Julee's voice comes shaky. "I-I have to go. B-bye. Oh an-nd come to my window l-l-later. 3 hours. Bye M-mikey."

She hangs up. I wonder what else her mother said to make her cry. What a bitch, her mom. I would've... Well, I don't know what I would've done. I can't beat up anyone. So, yeah. I wonder why she didn't stand up to her. Was she afraid? Or what? All these questions are flooding my mind.

"What happened with your friend?" Gerard sits down on the couch and points to the phone.

"Julee? Oh. Her... She had to go."

"Aw. She seemed cool." Gerard flicks his hair out of his eyes.

"Yeah..." I trail off. I stand up and set the phone back on the charger, and walk over to my room. 3 hours until I go to her house. Will I have to sneak in? I shoulder. Just in case. I don't want to get her in trouble. I wonder which room she chose. It better be the top room by that tree. It'll be a hell a lot easier.

I passed the time by reading comments and planning out my route. I just decided to dash across the street and pray that I won't get spot. Right now, I'm standing under the huge tree that grows up towards her window. I hope it's her window, at least. It'd be awkward to get into her mom or sister's room...

I brace myself, and jump up to the closest branch. I struggle, kicking my feet to get ahold of a groove in the tree. I pull myself on the branch, and advance to the next. And so on. Finally, I reach a sturdy one that leads directly to the window. I carefully climb on the thick wood and tap lightly on the window. A few seconds, and Julee appears behind 2 red and black curtains. Her hair is in a ponytail, and her eyes are rid of eyeliner and eyeshadow. She smiles at the sight of me and slides open her window.

"You made it!" She says, leaning on the frame.

"Yes, alive. Now I'd like to get inside before I break this branch." I shift slightly, and pray it doesn't break.

Julee nods and sticks her hand out towards mine. I take it and jump, landing half way through the window. I push myself in and land on the floor with a loud thud. Owww. I'm gonna feel that in the morning. And the scratches from smaller branches.

"You okay?" Julee giggles as she pulls me up.

I brush myself off and nod. "A few scratches. And possibly a few broken ribs. But just dandy!"

I look around the room. Boxes labeled with her name are everywhere. A black dresser is placed against the far right wall, and smaller boxes the size of a shoe box is placed on top. A red framed full sized mirror is leaning on the wall. The last large thing is a bed in the far corner against the wall.

"Wow this is a lot of boxes." I look around. The walls are a plain white, which makes the room seem bigger.

"Yep," Julee stands in the middle of the room and throws her arms out wide. "Welcome to mi casa!"
