"I'm leaving girls," Cordelia yelled from the top of the large, white staircase. "I'll be back in an hour."

"Okay, Miss Cordelia," four girls replied in unison.

They all resided at Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, though this was only a cover-up name to hide the real purpose of the school.

The real purpose was to train the diminishing number of witches in the world, and help them reach their full potential.

First there was Queenie, an African American witch, who was a human voo-doo doll. Next, there was Nan; a witch with down syndrome. She had the power of clairvoyance. After her, came Madison Montgomery. Part-time movie star, full-time witch. Finally, to complete the coven, there was Zoe Benson - a very young widow. Anyone she gave enough love to would be destined to die.

Cordelia Foxx was the headmistress of Miss Robichaux's. Though recently married to Hank Foxx, she decided it would be best for her to continue living with the coven, rather than moving in with Hank and having her mother takeover teaching the girls.

Fiona Goode wasn't a very reliable witch; she used her powers for selfish reasons rather than for good. Her misuse of magic made Cordelia despise that Fiona was her mother.

Cordelia strolled down the stairs in a long, black, floral print skirt and a black, long-sleeved shirt. She'd let the girls know earlier where she was going - out to the swamp to collect more herbs. Creating new potions and herbal medicines was her specialty.

The young woman was now walking further through the swamp than usual, to see if she could find any new plants to experiment with. She was dragging her boots through the watery mud when she thought she began to hear things.

"Wait a minute baby, stay with me awhile."

She brushed it off and thought maybe she'd been listening to too much Fleetwood Mac lately. Still, the farther she walked through the swamp, the louder the music got. Suddenly, she came across a small wooden shack. "Someone lives in the swamp?" she thought to herself.

Cordelia saw a wavy haired blonde woman kneeling down tending to a small patch of white lilies.

"Said you'd give me light, but you never told me 'bout the fire," the woman sang.

Then she noticed Cordelia standing silently, watching her.

At first, she was stunned by Cordelia's breathtaking beauty, but soon she was shocked back into reality. She jumped up and turned to face Cordelia.

"What are ya doing back here?! This is my swamp, an' ya don't belong back here!" she shouted.

Cordelia was still staring. "You're Misty Day."

"Hey - wait a minute, how do ya know who I am?" Misty asked.

"Your story was all over the news! They burned you at the stake!"

"Yeah, well, that's the good thing about being a necromancer, isn't it? I brought myself back. Now, ya better be leavin' - "

"I'm Cordelia Foxx. I run a home for girls like you. To recognize their powers, and to learn how to control them."

"Oh, well, I - "

"You could come stay at the academy; there's plenty of room. You'll be safe there."

"And ya'd be teaching me how to improve?" Misty said, gesturing to her garden of beautiful flowers, and dead things that she'd been trying to help bring back to life. "And I'd be safe?"

"Of course. So you'll stay?"

"Sure, Miss Cordelia. Just let me pack my things."
