Ch. 2: Car Radio

My black ripped jeans, flowy black shirt, and white beanie glowed on my body as the sun gleamed from the car window. Thomas kept his eye in the road singing to some songs here and there. 'Man' I thought. 'Hes such a good singer'. I smiled at my thoughts and joined him. Suddenly my favorite song came on. (Insert song here). Thomas didn't know the words but he trailed along to my flawless performance. As the song drifted into the next useless commercial, Thomas sighed. "What's wrong, dude?" I asked him. He just smiled and kept his eyes on the road. "Just thinking about tonight." He said calmly. I facepalmed as I remembered it was my first time there. "Oh right," I say. "What do we do there anyway?" Thomas explained to me how we sit in booths, sign autographs, and go on stage and answer questions from the fans in the audience (or is that ComicCon? I don't remember). Everything he said made my stomach flutter. I bounced up and down excited in my seat but my seat belt restricted some of the movement. As a few songs Thomas and I knew passes by, we finally reached our destination. The building was huge. Banners everywhere.

I squealed like a pig as my eyes still gazed at the floating banner. My beanie nearly fell off. Lighting fast Thomas parked and hopped out of the car. With a simple tug, he opened the car door for me and guided his hand towards the building. "That way till morning." He said in a deep voice. I giggled and his cheeks flushed. Huh? Strange? I thought. But I just ignored it and played along. I raced Thomas to the vast convention center (and won obviously). I finally looked through the glass double doors. "I'm famous." I said quietly. I heard nothing from Thomas but in knew he was smiling as much as I was.

"LETS DO THIS!!!" We both said in unison as we walked into the convention center. But I had no idea what was coming next...
