She stared longingly at him, her hair pulled back into a low pony tail, her eyes reflecting the sunlight with a feral tint. Raising onto her toes she kissed him, pulling his head down by wrapping her arms around his neck. He was stiff at first, then relaxed into the kiss and pulled her hips close. All too soon the kiss ended and she looked up at him. With a wry smile she twisted away and sauntered down the path. He gazed after her forlorn but comfortable in the knowledge he would see her again. She glanced back at him, smirked, and faded from view.
Seth stood there for a moment. Gathering his thoughts before turning his focus inwards. He drew on his essence and faded from the mortal world. As quick as the thought came to him he traveled. It could be dangerous if you were distracted, you wound up going to the first place you thought of. In his younger years this had caused lots of issues. He had appeared in a lovers bath, a bank vault and many other places. This time however his focus held and he appeared before the cave.
Again drawing on his inner self Seth began to focus on the change. Cobalt scales formed, his eyes turned to obsidian, his wing erupted and tail formed. He lay basking in the sun for a moment in his true from savoring it before heading into his lair. He longed to be with Kia, but it wouldn't be long before they were together again. A few short hours and then they would meet again. He lay down being patient. His kind were always patient, it was how they survived. Aeons came and went but Seth remained as youthful as the day he first changed.
