"Bye, mom," I wave as my mom pulls out of the parking space, tears threatening to spill out of her dark brown eyes.

"By Ariella, I'll miss you, baby," her voice cracks as she blows a kiss.

I can't help but shiver a little; I've never been away from my family for this long... Summer Camp is two months long! What do you even do for two months? You can only swim and eat so much...

I start off to the directors office. Walking under a massive wooden sign that read "WELCOME TO VALLEY CAMP!" in red paint.

I open the door to the office and peer in. "Hello?" I mutter.

No response.

I clear my throat, "Hello?" I say a little bit louder, hoping to god someone answered -- I hate yelling.

A loud crash comes from a room in the back and a middle aged man comes walking out. His name tag says his name is Aaron.

"Hello young lady! Goodness, you startled me! Do you need some help?" He chattered.

Something seems a little bit, I don't know, "off" about him. Ya know, when something just doesn't seem right? Yeah, I have that feeling right now.

He clears his throat and I snap out of my daze, immediately wondering how long I was zoned out for.

"Sorry," I mumble, embarrassed. "Anyways, I was wondering if this is where I sign-in? I'm a camper."

"Ahh yes, sign-in," he looks around for something and picks up a clipboard with a pen and piece of paper and hands it to me. "Just sign your name and the time and you're good to go."

I do as told and hand the clipboard back with a quick "thanks," as I walk out the door.

"Now, where are the cabins?" I think to myself. I spot a post with a bunch of sign on then, one of which points to girls bunks and a sign pointing the opposite way saying boys' bu-
