It's around August 29th, 2009, I'm 7 years old at a barbeque with my mom, at my uncle's neighborhood.
"I'm bored", I whined. I was so bored, just following my mom around awkwardly. Being a 7 year, who needed to constantly be doing something fun, not having anything to do was terrible. I watched everyone else seem to have a good time before sending their kids off to school.
"I'm bored. What can I do?" Every 5 minutes I would ask. My mom told me to go ask someone else like my uncle. As she said that I started to walk away to try and find my uncle through the crowd of people in the yard. My eyes scanned the yard and found my uncle, talking to his neighbors who were at the barbeque.
"Excuse me" I said very quietly. I was always a shy kid, which is why I always talk so quiet. "Is there something I could do?" I asked. My uncle turned to me, " There is a girl across the street who is around your age. Would you like to go there?" I nodded in excitement. I was happy that I found someone to hang out with. I usually am very nervous about meeting new people, but for some reason I had no problem meeting this girl. My uncle walked me across the street.
As we approached the door to the house, I began to smile, knowing that I would have a new friend. My uncle knocked on the door."Hello, are you home?" As he did that, a woman began to open the door, it was this girl's mom. "Hi Tony." She said, and began looking down at me. "This is Chelsea, I told her about your daughter, and she would like to hang out with her." She nodded, " Come in." she said. I walked into the house and my uncle walked back to his yard. "Gabby is in her room." Gabby's mom said showing me the door to the room. "Gabby this is Chelsea, Tony's niece." Gabby looked at me, and waved her hand,"Hi i'm Gabby, this is Riley my younger sister." I walked into the room and said "Hi." I sat on the floor where Gabby was. She was playing with her LPS (Littlest Pet Shop Toys).
She handed me some toys, and we began talking, about how we both liked LPS and books. (We are such dorks) At that moment we began talking, I knew we would be great friends.
