"Perfect Girl"

There's no such thing as a perfect girl,
For underneath she hides it all,
Her scars, her marks, her little world,
There's no such thing as a perfect girl,

She hides depression, anxiety, fear,
Her burden is heavy and she walks alone,
Her heart is broken, her mind not clear,
Slipping down her face, a silent tear,

She hears you call others attention-seeking, crazy, insane,
She tries her best to smile when you call her name,
Her thought are loud, her voice is silent,
She'd tell you her feelings if your words weren't so violent,

You think she's pretty, intelligent, kind,
But she's ugly and stupid in her own mind,
You say she overreacts when she's nervous and scared too,
But the pressure is mounting, if only you knew,

She's angry and cries,
She's upset and tired, inside she dies,
But her emotions she wouldn't never let you see,
And perfect to her she'll never be,

Too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall,
She'll never be perfect to herself at all,
There's no such thing as a perfect girl,
Do not judge her, for she must carry her own little world.
