Montana winters were never mild and this winter seemed even more brutal than normal. Wynter sucked in a sharp breath as the frigid air stings her face when she steps out of the little bakery where she works. Bonny steps out behind her and turns to lock up. "Wynter are you sure you don't mind taking me to the airport?" She turns to her friend. "Its going to snow soon, I'll understand if you don't want to."

"Nonsense, what would your mother say if you don't show up to your brothers, wife's, uncles, daughters wedding." She snickers as she teases Bonny. Bonny's mom was always on her case about making appearances at events that mean very little to Bonny. For the third time today Bonny shoots her a dramatic eye roll. Wynter stifles another laugh, she knows better then any one Bonny's mom is just wanting to play match maker, in hopes it will lead to grand kids.

They make their way to the car. They crawl in and Wynter turns the heat on full blast. She slowly pulls out of her parking space knowing the roads had already begin to ice. Snow is beginning to fall. So she takes her time as they drive to the airport. "So with the bakery being renovated for the next three weeks and me out of town, what are your plans?"

"No plans, I'm sure I will spend time with Lorenzo, maybe do a few side jobs for extra cash and I'm hoping to catch up on some reading." Wynter smiles when thinking of Lorenzo, him and Bonny are the two closest people in her life. She met them when she first came to this tiny town as a young teenager. They pulled her into their lives and helped her start a new life here, even though she did everything she could to keep them away they never took no for a answer and now shes never been more grateful for their stubbornness.

"Well maybe I need to stay and keep you two out of trouble." Bonny says with hope.

"Yes that would go over smoothly with your mother." Wynter looks over at Bonny, Bonny puts on her best puppy dog eyes. Wynter sighs, as much as it bothers Bonny, Wynter wishes she understood how lucky she is to have a mom who cares, even if she is over bearing ninety nine percent of the time. "Look you never know, maybe you'll meet someone fall madly in love and have lots of babies, win win."

"For my mom maybe." Bonny slumps in her seat defeated.

"Oh, don't pretend like you don't want the white picket fence."

"Ok fine, but my own way and with no rush." Bonny argues for the sake of it, but she knows Wynter is right.

"It will only be as fun as you make it, so make it epic."

Bonny smiles "Fun maybe, epic no, you aren't coming." Wynter grips the steering wheel, like it would even be a option. Bonny's mom only ever saw Wynter as white trash, social suicide. "Its funny you have such good advice." Bonny sarcastically shows quotations with her fingers. "The girl who never dates or gives even a little attention to the many admires who come in to get something sweet and I'm not talking about the baked goods."

Wynter just stares forward at the heavy snow fall. She has no desire to speak about this again. The car is quite when they pull up to the drop off at the airport. "Look I completely understand your reasoning, but you can't let it haunt you any longer."

Wynter turns to Bonny and smiles. "Have a safe trip, if your flight gets canceled call me." Bonny gives Wynter a quick hug, she knows shes dangerously close to crossing that line with Wynter so she says nothing more on the subject. She grabs her bags rushes inside with one last wave as the doors close.

Wynter drives as slow and careful as she can home. Frustration nags at her. "I hate driving in this stuff!" she yells to herself. She hit the steering wheel with both hands, which turned out her stupidest idea yet. The movement caused the wheel to turn enough to start sliding on the ice. She gasped grabbed the wheel only making matters worst. Next thing she knows, she is nose down in a snowy ditch.
