CHAPTER 4

FLASHBACK
He was spacing out. Remember lumabas siya ng kwarto after hearing what she said about leaving and joing the runway in London. Bigla na lang nag-init ang ulo niya. He can’t even explain what he was feeling right now. Isa lang ang sigurado niya, she was going to leave him.
Hindi ba dapat eh masaya siya ngayon dahil mawawala na yung burden? Dahil wala na siyang aalalahanin once na umalis si Akira? Dahil hindi na siya ang masisisi kapag nalulungkot siya dahil nasa malayong lugar na siya? Dahil siguradong makikipaghiwalay sa kanya si Akira bago ito umalis papuntang Londo.
But what he was feeling right this moment is the total opposite of what he thought. Nagagalit siya for some unknown reason.
He was into deep thought that he didn’t even notice her.
Akira: Bigla kang umalis.
Hiro: Nakakabagot na magpakaisip bata para sa laro ni Nakagawa.
He reasoned out and she just accepted that. There was total silence in the air. He was staring at the stars. She was leaning on the railings of the balcony. They stayed at the side of each other until Hiro broke the deafening silence.
Hiro: Yun ba yung iniiyakan mo kagabi?
She nodded as if he could see her gesture.
Hiro: And you even gave me that damn reason that you are just tired of what’s happening around you.
Akira (chuckled at that): Oo nga. You should be the one to use that reason.
Napatingin na sakanya si Hiro. She bowed her head not allowing him to see her current state.
Hiro: Anong ibig mong sabihin?
Akira: You’re too tired of taking care of me Hiro. You’re too tired of taking all the blame when something bad happens to me. You’re too tired of being tied up with me when you like somebody else in the first place.
Hiro: Saan nanggaling lahat ng yan?
Akira: You don’t have to deny it. Hindi ako manhid para hindi ko maramdaman.
He was not able to say a thing to that. Hindi niya din alam kung dapat niya bang itanggi o dapat niyang aminin dahil siya mismo naguguluhan sa kung anong nararamdaman niya.
Akira: About what happened last night, I’m sorry.
Upon realizing that he won’t say anything in return, Akira decided to leave.
Hiro: Ginusto ko yung nangyari so you don’t have to feel sorry for that, unless you regret it.
Akira: Not at all.
Ano nga bang nangyari the night before that? Here it is…
