Second Time Around

Where It Started

Touya: Hun! Napatawag ka. Binubully nanaman ba kayo ni Sayu dian?

Kanon: Uhmmm… nope.

Touya: I don’t like the sound of your voice. Is there something wrong?

He knows her too well…

Kanon: uhmm…Touya. I want to tell you something.

Touya: Ano yun?

Huminga siya ng malalim before saying…

Kanon: I’m breaking up with you.

Touya: WHAT?! Ano to? Did I do something wrong? May nalimutan ba ko? Ah-ano..uhmm…hindi mo na ba ko mahal? Kanon? Why are doing this all of a sudden?

Kinabahan na siya. Kanon was not speaking on the other line. Unknown to him it was already Sayu who was holding the phone.

Touya: Kanon? Please. Tell me what’s wrong?

Sayu: Joke time lang to.

Touya: Sayu?!

Sayu: We got you there bro.hahahaha…wag kang mag-alala hindi seryoso si Kanon sa sinabi niya. We were just playing truth or dare.

Touya: Humanda ka pag-uwi mo Sayuri!

Sayu: Ugh…ipapatapon ko na yang pangalan na yan!

He heard Kanon on the background.

Kanon: I’ll see you when were back honey! I love you!

Then they ended the call. Tawang-tawa sila sa itsura ni Sayu after speaking with his brother.  She doesn’t want to be called Sayuri because of its meaning “little lily” which is too much far from her personality. 

Kanon: Napapala ng msyadong mean.

Sayu shot her a tiger look. Then started to turn the bottle for the second time. Spin… spin.. spin… spin… spin…stop.

Next victim, Hiro Ogawa.

*Hiro: What could I possibly get?*

Sayu: Truth or dare Ogawa.

She said while smirking at him as if telling him to be ready cause she’s gonna make him pay.

Hiro: Truth.

Sayu: ok. If I’ll ask you to kiss Akira right now and right here, would you do it?

Without hesitations he answered back….

Hiro: Yes.

Everyone gasped at that. Straight to the point walang paligoy ligoy at hindi man lang naghesitate sa sasabihin niya. Yan si Hiro Ogawa. He was even looking at Akira when he said that. He saw her blushing madly.  Deep red ang color niya which made him think of her as a cute doll.

*Hiro: Erase that. Where did the cute doll come from? O.o*

Sayu: Then do it.

Kanon: Sabi niya truth! Hindi dare!

Sayu: Kunwari ka pa Kanon. Alam ko namang gusto mo ring makita ang tapang niya.

She was just mocking him and she was successful with her plan. Without any warning, Hiro stood up from his place and went to Akira. He whispered to her.

Hiro: Sorry for this.

Then he closed the gap between them. Giving her a peck on the lips. But he was not able to contain himself and gave her a little more. It lasted for like 10 seconds before he pulled himself.

Hindi pa natapos doon ang lahat. Tinitigan pa niya ang mga mata nito ng ilang segundo pa. Para bang ineenjoy niya na hindi makatingin ng diretso sa kanya si Akira. He just loves to tease her.

Sayu: Hiro bumalik ka na sa pwesto mo! Tinotorture mo na si Akira!!!

Hiro: satisfied ka na ba sa nakita mo?

Sayu: Anong akala mo? Naghahanap ako ng live show? GO BACK!

And he did. There were all in awe of what he just did. Hindi sila makaget over sa nakita nila.  Unexpected that the cold Hiro Ogawa would do some like that.

Sayu turned the bottle for the third time bago pa matunaw ng tuluyan si Akira.

Sayu: Truth or Dare?

Akira: Truth.

Sayu: So walang itatagong kahit ano?

Akira: Promise.

Sayu: I just know that you’re hiding something from us. Ano yun?

The surprise just a while ago was gone and now they were all looking at her waiting for her to reveal something that everyone knows she’s been trying to hide. Akira became uneasy just when all attentions were given to her. Even Hiro was focusing on her.

Akira: Uhm… (deep sigh) I’m leaving.

Shin: Anong ibig mong sabihin?

Akira: I’m leaving for good.

Kanon: Quit joking Akira.

Akira: I’m not joking. Remember yung agency na pinag-applyan natin?

Kanon and Sayu nodded.

She was talking about the fashion agency who was hiring for new models.

Akira: Natanggap ako.

Sayu and Kanon: REALLY?! CONGRATULATIONS!

Masaya sila. Sino bang hindi kung yung kaibigan mo eh nakahanap ng career na talaga namang babagay sa kanya.

Shin: Still you’re leaving?

Natigilan yung dalawang nagsasaya at nagfocus ulit sa isasagot ni Akira.

Akira: They wanted me to go to London and be part of their Runway.

That’s it. Hindi na niya gusto pang marinig ang sasabihin niya. Hiro just stood up and went out of the room leaving the other behind and ignoring their calls. He needs to get out. He needs some fresh air.  He needs to process everything that she said. He needs to hide that he’s affected by what she had just said.  He needs to be alone.
