Chapter 6: Wars and The Third Task

Ryder and I lugged my bed, my dresser, my bedside table, and all of the rest of my belongings out of my room and we got started on painting.

We painted some of the walls dark purple first and the rest black, even the ceiling which was black, and we tried to figure out what designs to do on the walls with the other colors.

"Well the black and the purple paint's dry now, so I'll open some paint cans while you think of some ideas." Ryder said, popping his back.

I nodded and I kept thinking. I had gotten some purple paint spots on my white shirt, so I threw my jacket out in the hallway.

I painted the purple walls, the ceiling was a bitch to paint, and Ryder painted the black walls. He said purple was too girly, even though the purple was dark.

Ryder had on a black shirt, so he was okay. But he still complained about getting black paint on his black shirt.

I couldn't think of anything to do for the walls, but Ryder was done opening the other paint cans.

"Still can't think of anything?" Ryder asked me with a chuckled.

"Nope." I told him as he put a brush in another can of the dark purple paint.

He pulled the brush and he splattered paint all over me. I know he hadn't meant to, but I was still kinda peeved.

"Hey!" I yelled as I looked at the splattered paint on my white shirt.

"Sorry!" He apologized.

I didn't listen, I just grabbed one of the silver paint cans and a brush and I splattered paint on him for good measure.

"Dude!" He yelled at me.

He got over his anger, but fear flooded me as an evil smirk spread wide on his face. Uh oh. I'm screwed.

He tried to splatter more paint on me, but he missed me and hit the wall. I didn't care at this point, he had just declared war.

"IT'S WAR!" I screamed.

He let out a battle cry and we had a full on paint war. Dark purple paint flying one way, black paint flying the other way, paint splattering on the black and purple walls.

It was a mess. The paint war lasted about two hours, and it only stopped because we ran out of paint. Every last drop was used in the war.

When we ran out of paint, we dropped the paint cans we had been holding, and we shared an 'OH FUCK! OOPS!' look.

We looked at each other in horror. Ryder was head to toe covered in paint splatters, and I know I must look the same.

We looked at the walls too, and we saw that the walls were splatter painted from our paint war. And I loved it.

"Awesome! The splatter paint looks so cool!" I shouted with a grin.

"Oh course you would think so!" Ryder laughed.

The walls did look pretty cool, but I was sort of amazed by how the ceiling had managed to get splattered with paint as well.

"How did we manage to get paint on the ceiling?!" I asked in exasperation.

Ryder looked up at the ceiling and he burst into laughter. I laughed too and I shook my head at him.

"Truce?" Ryder asked me with a smirk and his hand out for me to shake.
