Prolouge and Characters

Characters
Cynthia Acantha, fifteen, is a quiet, and very quirky girl. (She's only like this out of pure awkwardness)I guess you could consider her a 'normal' girl, if she didn't have one secret. A secret even she doesn't know about.

Selene Evander, fifteen, an energetic yet elegant girl, everyone's 'cool' idol. Well, almost every one anyway. But she's got something she has never told one soul. She might have, if she knew what it was in the first place.

Lance Evander, seventeen, an energetic boy, and has many friends, but he still finds himself lonely. Selene's older brother. He has a mysterious background to him, and he doesn't even know what it is.

Prologue
Faint murmurs sift through the dark room, only hazy shadows of figures can be seen though the dim light.

"Have you heard the rumors about new shinigami right?"

"I heard they were teenagers!"

"Teenagers?! I don't want to deal with so much angst and hormones!"

"Well deal with it. The prophecy noted this would happen."

"Prophecy shmophrecy. They could be old people for all we kn-"

"HUSH!" A loud female voice boomed and echoes throughout the entire room. The entire room becomes stark quiet.

"As you have heard, these young sinigami are all due to... awaken soon. We should all be prepared to face the new challenges ahead. I have chosen the shinigami that will recruit them" the female shadow states in an authoritative voice.
Whispers peak during the slight pause in her speech.

"I hope it's not me, I'm horrible with teenagers"

"I can't stand teenagers"

"Nobody can deny the assignments the headmaster gives us, no questions aske-."

"Silence! All of you! I don't know how I deal with you fools all the time!" The female silhouette shouts angrily.

"Anyway, *sigh* as I was saying, the one who will recruit these young shinigami. It will be Izumi." Again, the silence breaks and loud chattering spreads across the room.

"Izumi?! He's the least fit for this!"

"Out of all the shinigami's, him?! Well, at least he is a teenager as well..."

"SHUT UP, ALL OF YOU!" The woman's voice boomed. "There will be no questions asked. I have my reasons for choosing who I did. Izumi, please step forward."

"Yes, headmaster." A male silhouette steps up to the female.

"I need you to retrieve them from -address-, Ohio, United States. I expect you to have them here within the next week. Failure will result in- well, you know." the headmaster says to Izumi.

"I won't fail you headmaster, no doubt about it." A slight smirk can be seen on Izumi's face in the dim light. He picks some sort of object and places it at his side, and casually strides out the big doors from in the room.

"This is going to be interesting." another voice says, as the door shuts behind Izumi.
