The whole house started to shake, and pounding footsteps could be heard from outside the door. Knock. A soft pound came from outside. Knock. A larger pound. I heard a small hiss from out there, and a deep grunt.

I looked at mom and she looked at my forehead, her eyes not daring to look at mine. Her arm lifted up, and twisted the knob. The door swung open and a gray mist took the floor. A woman stepped out, wearing dark green robes and pointy hat. Her feet strangely not surrounded by the mist. Behind her an extremely tall, chubby man stepped to the side.

"Er, Miss Dalia Marsha? Are ye here?" He asked in a grungy voice. "Mom get my binder." I said in a cold voice. "I no longer go by that name or gender." I stuck my hand out. "Whatever do you mean child? You are a girl." The woman in green sneered, her English accent making it seem more bitchy than it probably was meant to. "I'm transgender. Anyway what do you want? We don't donate to charities."

They looked strangely at each other. The chubby man shrugged. "Darling what does transgender mean?" The woman asked in a slightly less bitchy voice. I sighed, looking at my feet. "Here's the deal, you tell me what I want to know, I tell you what transgender means. Got it?"

The woman looked at the man again, with almost pleading eyes. He sighed deeply, but nodded. He crouched down to my height. "YER A WITCH DALIA." He yelled in my face, caressing me with a bucket of spittle. I cracked my eyes open and spat out a fountain of spit from my mouth. "Sorry." He mumbled, and whipped his mouth and beard.

"What Hagrid means, is that you possess magical abilities. A witch. You've turned of age and now your magic has been coming out in strange forms." The women said in a soft voice.

Moms footsteps came from upstairs, a sure signal she was coming down the stairs. "Mom. She's saying I have magical abilities. Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard?" I asked her. "Oh my god. Its true! You're a wizard! Your going to Hogwarts! We thought you'd turn out to be squibs like us!"

I stared at her for a moment and then shook my head slowly, raising my hands to my face. "Oh my god I'm having a hallucination. This isn't real! This is a sickness induced hallucination." The woman sighed. She took a stick from her pocket at swished it around.

"Wingardium Leviosa." Suddenly I was lifted off the ground. I let out a shriek and flailed my arms. I gasped, and looked around.

"So its true? I'm a wizard? I have magic? Is there fairies? Mermaids? Trolls? Giants? Where do I learn magic? Will there be potions and black cauldrons?" I asked in one breath.

The woman chuckled and wrapped her arm around my shoulders and pushed me down. I smiled enormously and she led me outside.

She looked back at my mother, who was leaning on the door. "We'll bring her back, we just need to teach her how our money system and buy her some books and perhaps even a pet." I gasped and looked at my mom. "Oh can I? I won't ask for any money while I'm there!" I put on my puppy dog face.

She waved her hand. "Just go. We'll be fine." I squealed and jumped up and down, forgetting for a moment I'm a boy.

The woman took out her stick-I mean wand and swished it around us.

A vortex of colors surrounded us, and I gasped, feeling dizzy. I closed my eyes only to feel a shake a moment later. I opened my eyes and saw people all around me wearing robes and carrying wands. I looked around and giggled.

I toppled over something and landed on my back, the bobby pin holding my binder together stabbing me in the back.

"Oh. Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark." I cringed, making it pierce my skin. "Oh my goodness! Are you alright?" An airy Irish voice fluttered around me. I opened my eyes to see a girl, with dyed purple hair with red highlights and hard, rock like features standing over me with an eager smile. My heart fluttered, and my face flushed red.

"I'm really sorry. I swear I didn't mean to." "That's alright, what's your name?" She asked, her Irish accent making it almost too hard to understand. "D-Daniel." I stuttered, getting up myself even though she had an outstretched hand out. "Willow Ginger. I'm in Ravenclaw. What house are you in?" She asked.

"Uh house? What are you talking about?" A spark of realization dawned in her eyes. "Your new aren't you?" She asked, a small smile tinting her lips. I nodded sheepishly. She giggled. "Your going to need your robes then, and a wand of course. I'm a second year I know where to go. Just follow me." She then looked at the woman. "I can take it from here Minerva." She said, her small voice growing a tint louder. Minerva nodded.

Willow led me to a small shop. "Robes first. Do you have any money?" I shook my head. "I'll pay then." She grabbed my hand and skipped towards the door. My face flushed even redder. "S-sure then."
