Antarctica's Day

The dark of night fades away,

As the sun comes for a new day;

What surprises await today?

In the light of Antarctica's day.

The snow and ice glittering white,

The ocean beneath deep blue;

The cold icy glaciers and the barren plains,

The source of Antarctica's crystal hue.

The wind sings over the mountains,

And the oceans dance along;

All the animals,birds and fish,

Come to join the song.

The darkness soon takes over,

The shining crystal plain;

And the wind turns fierce and bitter,

For the night has come again.
