"Daniel! Letter for you!" My mom called from downstairs. I groaned as I opened my eyes, the sudden flash of light making me groan again. I coughed, my cold still fresh in my system. "Mom, j-just bring it here!" I called back, my croaky voice breaking. I heard her over exaggerated sigh as she walked up the steps.

"Daniel! I know your sick but is this really needed?"

"Yeah actually mom, it is. Can you bring it over here?" I said heavily, and pulled my cold arms out and made grabby grabby hands.

She sighed but smirked, leaning her arm out for me to grab the note. I leaned forward, and she jolted her arm back. I let out a shrill shriek as I fell head first into the carpet. I heard a thump and my mom was right next to me on the scraggly black carpet, her hair spread out around her oval face.

I rolled over onto my back and laughed with her, despite my carpet burned face. She plopped the note on my face and I examined it, I furrowed my eye brows at it. I traced my finger over the quill printed letters. "Hey mom get this.

'Dear Miss Marsha, we are pleased to inform you we have a place for you in Hogwarts School For Witchcraft And Wizardry. Please find the enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We will await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva Mcgonnagall
Deputy Headmistress"

She looked at me strangely then ripped the note from my hands. "DAVID! IT HAPPENED!" My mom yelled, getting up to her feet as fast she could. 'Which was pretty fast'

Dad slid into my room, sweat slipping down his face. "That one thing we talked about or her period?" I felt the blood drain from my face as my nostrils flared. "The other thing David. Oh my God!" Mom screeched.

"How many times have I told you?! I am a boy. And my period is simply my anus bleeding. Please refer to it as my bleeding anus!" I yelled before grabbing a pillow and screaming into it. I threw the pillow at the door. "GET THE FUCK OUT YOU PRICK!" I yelled, tears budding in my green eyes.

My mom gaped at me. Tears streaked down my face as I crawled up my bed. "Mom, just get the pads." She looked almost relieved at my words.
