I storm up the stairs to the room I shared with her.
"Her" is how me and my friends refer to Casey, my friend from 6th grade who needed a place to go.
My parents and I have had this argument countless times before, but this time was different. I am prepared for this. I grab my half packed bag from last week, gathering things that were important to me; my retainer, chargers, keepsake box, extra clothes, and diary.
"Where are you going?" Casey laid in her bed, looking up from her phone to stare at me.
"I'm done." I say as bitchy as possible. I really am, I'm sick of this. I just can't believe that I let her drive me out of my own home.
"Ok then..." Casey says returning to her phone. She never payed much attention to anything unless it was herself or someone who cared for her.
Double checking that I have everything, I realize I almost forgot the pillow and pillow case my two best friends, Macy and Kayla, got me for Christmas. Dan and Phil's faces tie-dyed onto a soft fabric. Throwing my bag over my shoulder, I grab it and leave the room, slamming the door behind me and startling Casey.
"Good luck." I hear my brother say from the floor of his room. Like always, he's playing video games, but he glances up at me and smiles. I know he means what he said.
Downstairs my parents are arguing, I figure I can just sneak past. Right before I open the door Lucky barks, alerting the couple. Fearing they might stop me, I exit and head for the end of the driveway and down the sidewalk.
My mother runs after me followed closely by my father. I pick up my pace, I just need to make it to Lauren's house.
"Stop!" My mom shouts. I spin around to see my parents gasping for air. "Don't let her get to you."
"I told you. Shes gone or I'm gone!" I continue walking and this time they don't try to stop me.
