Nothing But Problems

When I got out the shower I threw on some shorts and a tank top and went downstairs to watch tv. Yep, this was my day right here. Relaxation. I would be home alone the most of the day and I was going to enjoy the peace and quiet. I smiled to myself at these thoughts and turned the tv on to Catfish. 

Before I knew it, I looked at the clock and it was already 5:30. Damn, this show had me hooked. I had been watching Catfish since I woke up and I hadn't even realized that my mom had left for work already. She wouldn't be back until midnight so when Catfish went off I turned the tv off and went upstairs to my room. I closed my door and plugged in my headphones. I turned to Wicked Games by The Weeknd and started humming the song. I closed my eyes and took a nap. 

When I woke up, I looked at the clock and it was 8:00. Another couple hours had gone by. I sighed in frustration because I was so bored and had nothing else to do. I unlocked my phone and started looking through it, hoping I would find something to occupy me until my mom got home.  I went to my contacts list and face palmed. I was such an idiot. This whole time I could have been texting Destini!! Ughh Jasmine you don't think worth shit do you? I continued to bad mouth myself as I texted Desini.

Heyy boo. 

I waited for a reply..

An hour had passed already and my boredom was growing by the minute. I don't like to text people more than once at a time, especially when they're not answering because they could be busy and I could come across as a freaking stalker or something. But I couldn't bare it anymore.. my day had been soooo boring and I needed somebody to talk to. I shrugged my shoulders and whispered to myself, "The hell with it" as I texted Destini again.

Boo? Im bored man text me back..

Another thirty minutes had passed by and I was about to just call it a night and go to bed. When all of a sudden I felt my phone vibrate. I got wide eyed and jumped for my phone. I unlocked it and it was a text from Destini. I opened it.

Hey Lightskin...

Hold up.. Karon was the only one that called me lightskin. And why did he have Destini's phone preventing her from answering.. And why did he put periods after when he say 'hey lightskin'? Something was wrong..

Hey Darkskin. What's going on and why won't Destini text me back?

Lightskin, Destini and Quad are in the hospital..

What?? Whyy?

They fell off a roof and broke some of they ribs.

Oh my gosh are they ok? Can I talk to Destini?

Umm, she mad at you..

Ion know, but she said she don't wanna talk to you cuz she ain't really tryna hear anything from you.

Man I'll find out later then since she don't wanna talk to me.. Can I talk to Quad?

Man Jasmine, to be foreal with you, I don't think you've been there for me lately. As a bestfriend, it's said that I feel like I can't come to you for my problems anymore. And I'm sick of this man I really am.

Destini where did that just come from? I try to help you with your problems as best as I can.

Jasmine no you don't. You're always ignoring me and today I had a really big issue and you wouldn't respond to any of my texts.. 

Man my phone was messing up.. I'm sorry I couldn't text you back but it wasn't my fault.

Well, Marcus came and told us that Jose and Derick said that you're everybody's favorite person to talk to on facebook, especially the boys.. and when he said that, Quad got pissed and was trying to get off the roof but he slipped.... And I was trying to catch him but I was pulled down along with him...

I stared in awe at the text I had just received. How could they? That was bullshit and lies. They had started something that I bet they couldn't finish though. They started a rumor that caused me and my loved ones to hurt.. and I wasn't going to put up with it.. I just had a few questions still unanswered. Like, why? Why would they do that? Did they want me and Quad to be over? Did they even know about us? Or were they just doing this to do this? ..

So many questions that needed to be answered. And I was going to find out the answers. I PROMISE YOU THAT. And I also know one more thing... I love Quad. And I wasn't going to let him go without a fight. Especially against some ignorant ass niggas who ain't got nothing better to do than lie and hurt.
