Chapter 1- Jerk vs. Angel-I'm the Angel

Chapter 1:

September 26, 2013

I walked into the class. We just recently moved to New Jersey and this really sucks. Everyone's probably already formed there new groups and I'm going to be the loner. Even if we did move we should've done it earlier.

"Shut up. Today we have a new kid." The teacher said. She was a pretty woman with brown hair and hazel eyes. She scared me a bit. It was the way she talked to the class.

Give them a preppy welcome. I had to be here for two years so I should enjoy it. I miss everyone from back home.

"Hi." I said. This is not good. I'm going to be the awkward antisocial girl. This is so not like me. "I'm Olivia Brooke. I came from New York."

"Okay, Olivia were switching seats today. Some of these kids have been getting on my nerves with there constant chit chat." She said slapping a guy's desk. A girl with brown hair and green eyes waved to me and I waved back at her. Yes, there was at least one nice girl, unlike the guy who just woke up.

"Who's this chick?" He asked glancing me up and down. I felt self conscious. There were no stains, right? Who am I kidding? The uniform was new so it was impossible.

"Luke stop it." The girl who waved to me said.

"Sorry partner." He said still looking at me. He mouthed something to me and I turned away.

"Did Lukey just get rejected?" A blonde girl next to the brown haired girl asked.

"Enough. Everyone get up!" Mrs. Har-. I looked at her desk and found her name. Mrs. Harrison!

The two girls had come towards me bringing their stuff. Be nice and polite. "Hey do you want me to help with that?"

"We're okay. By the way I'm Melissa and this is Lucy." Melissa said.

"I'm Olivia, but you already know that." I said smiling. "Um... Melissa are you sure you don't need any help?"

"It's okay. I won't trouble you on your first day."

"I'm actually a bit troubled right now because of how much your struggling. What's with the books?"

"She's super studious." Lucy said carrying the same amount.

"Aren't you the same?" I asked laughing at them.

"Melissa Avery." Mrs. Harrison called.

"Lucky. She's sitting next to Ryan."

"Ryan?" I asked.

"Her boyfriend." I nodded.

Mrs. Harrison called my name. I was seated next to Luke and Melissa. "I'm considering myself lucky." I said to myself as I sat next to Melissa.

"Luke and Melissa switch. Actually never mind. Luke you talk too much and Olivia looks like the quiet type."

"You should be lucky since you're sitting next to me." Luke said. I looked at him then turned towards Mrs. Harrison.

"Rejection." Lucy said. I noticed her sitting next to this girl with strawberry blonde hair. "R-E-J-E-C-T-I-O-N." Luke scowled at her and Lucy turned to me.

I smiled at her and she pointed to her friend who was sitting behind me. "This is Daphne. Another one that's part of our crew which includes Melissa, Ryan, Cameron, and me. Oh and that scowling idiot next to you."

I nodded. "You're mysteriously quiet." Luke said looking into my eyes with his green ones.

I looked back unfazed by them. "What are you?" He asked.

"Human." I said.

"You aren't swooning. Cameron she isn't swooning." Ryan said.

"This is a first."

"What do you mean? We don't swoon over Luke either." Daphne, Lucy, and Melissa said.

"You three don't count. Daphne I've known you since I was little and you two met those two before you met me. If you had met me first then you would've lost it with me."

"Lose what?" I asked.

"Virginity." He said. I blushed.

"Why'd you say that? In public?" I asked getting out of my chair and taking a few steps back.

"Why are you so ashamed? It's just a word like sex."

"Oh my god! This is so embarrassing!" I exclaimed blushing.

"Hey! Leave Olivia alone."

"This is too funny. Your reactions." He said. "Virgins are okay."

"I'll be back." I said walking away from the classroom. Yeah I know I'm weird. It's not my fault. I've never cursed in my life or ever used those words. Yes they show you videos during elementary school which teach you everything, but I never get a chance to watch them. I always faint when they come on.

I see you judging me. I'm sorry! It's not that I have a problem with it. It's just that I find it embarrassing to say out loud.

I should go apologize. I overreacted. Wait! I just walked out in the middle of class! But we weren't learning anything.

I started my way towards the classroom and entered. Mrs. Harrison wasn't here anymore.

"Excuse me." A voice said. I turned around and saw an elderly man. I let him come in and went towards my seat.

"Good morning class." He said. "Today we'll be learning---"

Melissa passed me a sheet of paper and I read through it. She asked me if I was alright and then she explained the new curriculum. No wonder there weren't any lockers. You stay in one classroom for the entire day getting five minute breaks between each period and then a 40 minute lunch break which is separated into four time slots. Lunch A, Lunch B, Lunch C, and Lunch D. We had Lunch B.

I crumbled the piece of paper in my hand and started taking down notes about the lesson. I had to catch up if I wanted to pass.

After the lesson there was the five minute break like Melissa said. "Thanks Melissa and yeah I'm fine. I think I was just overreacting."

"No it's Luke's fault for making you feel uncomfortable."

"Hey! So Olivia are you good at biology?"

"Yeah why?"

"Teach me how whales have sex." He said.

I blushed again. "You're an idiot."

"That's not what my test scores say." He said. I blinked. Luke got up and walked towards me. "Bye, virgin. If you want to lose it, meet me on the rooftop." He walked away with that.

"I seriously apologize on his behalf. He's just teasing you." Lucy said.

"I'll go teach him a lesson." Ryan and Cameron said walking after him. Oh my god. I'm about to cry. Why was I so sensitive? Stop. Don't come out. Don't pour out. I blinked many times to stop them and finally they did.

"I'm going to make him pay." I said.

"I'm taking a liking to you." Daphne said.

"I'm in this plan of yours." Lucy said.

"Actually I don't have one." I said.

"Let's think of this together then." Melissa said.
