Chapter one: Burden

For the past few weeks I've been really depressed and bored. Phil, My boyfriend we had bad arguments lately. We've been for almost 1 and a half years since 2nd year college. I don't know what the problem is. I've been asking my friends what should I do but every time I talk to him he's always saying there's no problem at all.

For the whole day I waited Phil to call me or text because that's what normal couples do but I didn't received any call or message from him instead a call from my friend.

"Hello Via, I was wondering if we could meet at the café?" Well If he says so besides I'm really bored. "Sure" and I ended the call. Paul and I've been really close to each other since high school. Actually it's funny that we still became friends after all.

I dressed and took my wallet and my phone. I started the engine and left the mansion. There's many thoughts spinning around my head about Phil, Paul and my relationship with Phil.

It's already 4:00 pm so I caught in a traffic. I turned on the radio and suddenly our favorite song started to play.

Oh thinking about all our younger years there was only you and me we were young wild and free now nothing can take you away from me we we've been down that road before that's over now you keep me coming back for more

My tears started to roll down to my cheeks realizing I've been falling for the wrong person. I realized that I wasted all my time for him.



After one hour stuck in traffic, I finally arrived at Mia's café. I saw Paul's car parked at the corner. I entered the café and looked for Paul. I saw Paul sitting on the table with another girl. The moment I saw them Paul called me making me Awake from reality. Paul waved his hand and gestured me to go to their table.

"Via this is Maurice She's also my friend from states. Actually she only arrived yesterday and I've been really wanted you to meet her."

I looked at Maurice looking from head to toe. Maurice looks a lot like Kirsten so that's why. "Hi it's nice to meet you." I said. Paul called the waiter and ordered for us.

Maurice gave me an evil look and said. "Stay away from him! He's mine!" It's funny how my first impression to her is actually true. Desperate.

"You know what you're pathetic, I don't have time to spend with a desperate girl." I got my bag and left the table but she grabbed my arm. "Hey don't walk away from me were not done yet!" I gave her an evil smile and said.

"He was never yours honey" and walked out
