"Firs’ years! Firs’ years over here!" a giant man with a beard called. His hair was dark and scruffy, and he had black beady eyes under it all. He mumbled a few words to a boy with dark brown hair before saying, "C’mon, follow me — any more firs’ years? Mind yer step, now! Firs’ years follow me!" We followed him into a set of woods, going down a trail. He seemed to be taking good track the boy he had spoken to moments ago.
We got onto some boats once we'd reached a lake. It was dark and gloomy, and beautiful under the white moon. The air was crisp and slightly foggy. Across the waters was a beautiful castle.
I shuddered.
We loaded onto the boats. "Everyone in?" the giant shouted. "Right then — FORWARD!” The boats began to go forward on their own. I looked around at the other occupents of the boat.
"Hello, I'm Seamus," a boy with a Irish accent held out his hand to me. I shook it lightly. He had sandy hair and adorable brown eyes.
"I'm Harmony," I smiled slightly. He looked around my face, before his eyes widening.
"Your Harmony Potter!" he gasped. The other's on the boat turned to look at me.
"Hello," a black one shook my head, "my name is Dean, pleased to meet you, Ms. Potter."
"Pleasures all mine," I smiled polietly back. I was raised with manners.
"I'm Pansy," one with short black hair held out her hand for me to shake. I got a bit of a bad vibe from her, so the handshake was as short as I could make it. "Pansy Parkinson. It's nice to meet you, I do hope your sorted into Slytherin. That is where I wish to be."
"I wish to be in Gryfindor," I objected, turning my nose. She snorted.
"Gryfindor's are snooty, as are you," she snaps. The rest of the ride was a bit awkward.
"Heads down!" the giant yelled. We all ducked as we went into some cave. "Oi, you there! Is that your toad?"
"Trevor!" a boy cried, jumping forward and wrapping his fingers around a toad. We all started for the school. My heart was beating in my chest, pounding actually.
We reached a huge, oak door.
"Everyone here? You there, still got yer toad?" the giant asked.
Then he knocked on the door. Three big banging sounds.
The door swung open quickly. A tall woman with brown hair was at the door. She was wearing emerald green robes, and looked very strict.
"The firs' years, Professor McGonagall," the giant said proudly.
"Thank you, Hagrid, I will take them from here," the Professor nodded. She opened the door wider. The stone walls were lit with torches, the ceiling was really high, and their were amazing marble staircases to lead upstairs. The entrance hall was plain astonishing.
