In the lunchroom I make Grell sit at the end of the table so only one person can sit next to him. When Red comes by she looks irked. "Sebastian, move over! I sit next to Grell." I don't budge. "Grell, baby, get him to move." Grell doesn't look at her. He just eats his cheesecake. "I'm sorry, but Grell doesn't like to sit next to cheaters." She is in total shock. "I am not a cheater Sebastian! Tell him Grell." Grell sets down his fork and stands up. "Go sit with your new boy toy Claude!" He yells. "Take your coat back too. I don't want it." I noticed that the whole lunchroom was watching. "Claude! You cheated on me!" Hannah yells. Grell stands up on his chair and yells back at Hannah: "Not only did he cheat on you, he had sex with Red 10 feet from my dorm!"  There was a collective gasp in the lunchroom. Hannah storms out. Red try's to punch Grell. But I step in the way. "I would gladly punch you, but your a girl."

Red is flaming mad. "Let Grell fight his own battles." She kicks me in my chest and I stagger back slightly. "I think that you should leave." Ciel says. Red punches him to. Undertaker stands up and shoves her out of the lunchroom. Grell helps me up. "Dude, your face." He says as he helps me up. "It's not my first scar." I help up Ciel. "You can't catch a break, can you?" I say as I help Ciel up. "At least I have an eyepatch over that eye." He says while chuckling. The undertaker comes back in the lunchroom. "Let's get you guys to the nurses office."

In the nurses office, I'm the last one that needs to get patched up. "I'm going to need you to remove your shirt so I can check your chest." Grell ushers everyone out and blocks the door's small window. When I remove my shirt, she gasps. My chest is covered in scars. With one deep purple bruise from when Red kicked me. After examining me for a minute she looks back up at me a little, "You have two broken ribs. I am going to give you pain killers and some sick passes. You will need bed rest for awhile." I jumped down from the bench and winced. "No sudden movements. Ok?" I nod. "Can I put my shirt back on?" She tosses me my shirt and gets the bottle of painkillers. "Before I give these to you, are your scars from dealing and doing drugs?" "No Miss. I don't to drugs. The place I stay between homes isn't kind. Neither are the homes I stay at." She nods and hands me the pills. I walk out of the room. "You ok?" Ciel asks me. "Yeah, two broken ribs isn't the worst thing in the world. But I have been confined to my bed for a while."

The next day Grell kept visiting me between classes with homework. Why does he keep visiting me? I'm fine. "Here's your social studies homework." I put the homework on my desk. "The nurse said that I could go to dinner tonight." Grell walks to the foot of my bed and tosses me a shirt. "Then get dressed! Dinner is in 5." Without thinking, I change right in front of Grell. He sees my scars. I forgot he was in the room. "I'm sorry, I forgot that you didn't leave the room yet." He looked away as I put my shirt on. "Don't be so weird Grell. The nurse thought that I was a dealer when she saw my scars." Grell laughs until he falls on the floor. "You? A dealer? Your way too nice to be a dealer, or a user!" He got up and looks at the door. "You didn't have to do that." "Do what!" He looks at me again. "You didn't have to stand up for me against Red. I can take care of myself." I look at him. "I was repaying my debt from when you bailed me out." He looks a bit mad. "You didn't have to do that. Like I said, I can take care of myself. Besides, you got two ribs broken." I cross the room towards him. "Like I said, a few broken ribs isn't the end of the world." He walks out of the room. "It's burger night! So come on slow poke."

When we got to to the lunchroom. People were clapping. What is even going on?  "Everyone is so hyped about you standing up to red!" Some student came up and shook my hand. "Grell, were you dating the school bitch?"  He looks at me and nods. "It was the only way I could keep her from bullying me. Then I fell in love with her." We sat down and about 5 brave girls asked me out. But I said no to all of them. "Hey, I don't want to only date someone because I was paying off a debt."  Wow. The ladies at this school are crazy. "How long are you gonna be on bed rest?" The undertaker asked. "About 2 weeks. 1 if I'm stubborn." Grell looked at me. "So your going to miss the winter dance?"  I shrugged. "I never went to those things anyways. I think I'll just do homework." Ciel smacks my arm. "But you could've been part of our posse!" "What posse?" Ciel sets down his fork and counts his fingers. "We as a group of single men that play pranks during school events. Last year, instead of candy coming out of a piñata..." The undertaker finished his sentence. "Dead rats came out!" They all started laughing hysterically. Even me.

That night, Grell decided to help me with my homework. "In the free studies elective, we are to create a topic, real or not, and make a news report out of it." Hmmm...."I've got it! An orphanage abuse case." I say assertively. "Let me check the list of stuff the other kids from our class." He spends a few minutes looking over a list. "Not on the list. What would the orphanage be called?" I'll give it the name of my abusive orphanage. "Matilda's orphanage for troublesome children." He nods at me. "Is this going to be a real story or not?" I take a deep breath and speak slowly. "A real story." Grell looks at me, in complete shock. "Oh Bassy! I'm so sorry! Are you sure you don't want to pick a different topic?" Grell, of all the things he could've done, he hugged me, and It wasn't a bro hug either. I shake my head. "We will need some help. I can be the person interviewed, and you can pick someone to be your assistant news castor." We spend the night planning the whole thing. From the backdrop to the dialogue. The next day, we were ready to film it.

I was wearing just a pair of shorts and a bathrobe. It was time to film. "Today, my fellow news castor Grell Sutcliff, will be interviewing a victim of this house of horrors. Back to you Grell." Ciel says as he points at the camera. "I'm here with Sebastian Michaelis, one of the victims of this heinous orphanage. So tell us Sebastian, are we going to talk or are you going to show us your scars?"  I look at the camera. "I want to put a stop to this. So I will show you real proof." I pull of my robe to reveal my scarred arms, legs and torso. "The scars thin scars are from knives and needles. The bruises are from baseball bats, brooms, and sticks." I am seriously about to have a breakdown. "The ones on my back are from a whip." I had to turn away so I wouldn't be seen crying. "There you have it people, a abusive orphanage, and now, physical proof of these heinous crimes. See you next time, from Noontime News."

We were done filming. I couldn't control myself anymore. "Great acting Sebastian, Sebastian?"  Ciel said as he noticed my tears. Grell ushered him out of the room and closed the door. I lost all control and Grell got me a blanket. "I'm going to edit the footage so we can turn it in tomorrow." He went to leave. I reached out for his leg. "Please don't leave me alone." I croak. I pull a laptop out of my suitcase. "Use my laptop instead, just don't leave." He plops down next to me. "Can I go to the vending machines down the hall to get us some snacks?" I nod and give him 5$.  The second he leaves, I start crying again. Why? Why would they hit me? I didn't do anything wrong. At first anyways. If I have to go back, I might not survive this time. I don't notice that I'm on my side in a fetal position. I don't notice Grell walk in. I don't notice anything. All exempt my scars and pain.

The next day, I'm still on the floor, and Grell is sitting by my side. "I'm going to go to school today." I say reaching for my bed to help myself  up. "Why? You still have 1 week of bed rest." I smirk as I get dressed. "I can survive 1 day Grell. Trust me, I've been through worse." He says nothing as we do all of our classes. When it was finally time to present. When our clip was finished, I saw a few girls cry. Our teachers called us up to explain our news clip. "You've been lied to. That orphanage is real. My story is real. I didn't do that video to show off my body. As I heard some of you guy's whispers. I did it to share the truth. Now does anyone have any questions?" Almost everyone's hands were raised. I picked on a kid in the back. "Why were you beaten?" I gulped, looked at the ceiling, and looked at the student. "I was beat because I  used to talk different, I was beaten for being weak. I was beaten for being emotional." I was beaten for being bi. I simply walked out of the room and didn't stop. Grell would cover for me. Right?

I started running until I was outside the school, in the snow. I didn't notice the cold, I didn't notice how my chest ached from running, I didn't notice how the snow melted against my cloths and making my scars burn. I didn't want to notice, I didn't care. "Bassy! Where are you?" I heard Grell run out of the front doors. But I couldn't open my eyes. My own tears, my own pain, froze them shut. "Bassy, open your eyes." I shake my head and try to move away. He grabs me and pulls me back. "I'm sorry Bassy. I shouldn't have let you go to class. I should've taken care of it myself. Let me help you get inside, but can you please open your eyes?"  "I can't. My tears froze them shut." He helps me up. "It's funny, you either have no emotions, or you won't stop crying." Grell says as he tries to stifle a giggle. At least you get it. He walks me to the nurses office and she gets my eyes to open. Grell walks me back to the dorm and leaves. "Today is Friday. So don't worry. I'll be back later." He leaves me alone in the dark, again.
