One day in April 2012 she was on Facebook talking to some of her friends from college, when a message icon was a light at the top her screen. Clicking on the icon her curiosity bubbling inside her, she stared at the senders name with confusion evident on her face. 'Why is he talking to me we hardly know each other' she thought to herself as she read the message. It was from a boy who used to live down the lane from where she lived, they had barely crossed paths and when they did it was only small talk. The message read: hello Gem how are you? Long time no see what you been up to?

This made her smile as she began to picture what he looked like now and how much he had changed. She began to reply with: Heyy James yeah thanks you? And yeah it's been ages and not much just college wbu?

She sat there waiting for a reply and just as she was about to give up he replied back: not too bad and not much are you still going out with that lad?

Just reading that message her memories that she had tried to lock away came rushing back to her all at once causing un shed tears to be collected within her eyes. Taking a huge breathe and gulping she replied: no I haven't been with him for ages now why?

James: just wondering I've gotta go now do you want my number so we can talk?

Gem: yeah ok if you want :)

James: it's ***********

Gem: I've got it bye bye

James: bye

After James gave his phone number to Gem they began to talk to each other practically every single minute of every day, there wasn't one time that they ran out of something to say to each other. It also seemed that Gem was beginning to develop some sort of feelings toward him except she never spoke about it to anyone, she just kept it locked away inside. Each time she received a text her face lit up like a light bulb as the most powerful smile was placed onto her face as she read what he had written to her. It was as if she was in a fairy tale land where it was just the two of them, with no one else around them and no one knew that they were speaking to each other.
