Chapter 4

"I have to work" she finally said

I smiled "Thanks Kat" I said to Kat and went out of the coffee shop.

I was gonna find another way to get her, again.

She was really something.

I smiled at that and drove to work

Anna's POV

"Why did you say no?" She walked towards me immediately Matt left the shop.

I turned to face her
"I don't know" I sighed

A few moments passed

"Well, just don't freak out when another black SUV picks you up."

Really Kat?

I got home that day after closing the gym up. Secretly hoping that Matt would come. But he didn't.

Next morning I went jogging but didn't see any black SUV. Lucky me.

Has he finally given up on me? I thought as I jogged back home.

I got ready for work thirty minutes later and went to the gym then went to Kat's from there.

"Kat I'm here" I called as I entered the shop

She came from the back.
"What are you doing here?"

I was confused "Hmm, I work here"

"I know. But your boyfriend told me to give you the day off"

"Who?"

"Mr. Hot"

"Matt?"

"Yea" she looked so innocent

That was it. As bad as I wanted to see him and go out with him, he just crossed the line.

"I'll be right" I told Kat and took my bag.

I left Kat's and went to O'CE which was just a few blocks down.

When I got to O'CE, I saw the receptionist and went to her
"Hmm, good morning"

"Good morning" she said politely as she looked at me

"What floor is Mr. O'Connell?"

"Thirty"

"Thank you" I said and made my way to the elevator

"Excuse me ma'am?" I heard her call

I turned round to look at her

"Do you have an appointment?"

"Oh, he's expecting me"

She smiled. I turned back and got into the elevator.

God help me!

My fear of heights would have to wait till I'm done with Matt for taking a day off for me without my consent.

A few minutes later.
The elevator dinged.

I got out and walked to the lady I spotted first

"Hi, I'm looking Matt O'Connell"

She looked at me like I was crazy
"Mr. O'Connell you mean?"

"Yea" I nodded

"Is he expecting you?"

"He should be" I said still really mad

"Your name?"

"Annabelle Vaughn"
