Amy walked to the library with her boyfriend, Erick, hand in hand. "Why are we going to the library?" Erick asked. "Because Brayden wanted to meet me there." Amy answers with her beautiful smile. "Why?"
"He's my best friend, respect him."
"Alright, alright." Erick kissed her cheek.

They haven't had their first kiss yet. Well, Erick has many times. He's been with many girls and whenever one of his ex's texts him, he tells Amy he doesn't know who it is. Amy hasn't been with any boys but Erick. She's completely clueless that Erick has had many girlfriends. He plans to keep it that way.

Once they reached the library, they sat at the table Brayden was sitting at. Amy placed her backpack down,"Hey Brayden, I'm going to get a new book." She said and disappeared in the shelves. "So, how are you and Ames?" Brayden asked. Ames was Amy's nickname he gave her in middle school. "We're doing good. What about you? Got a girlfriend yet?" Erick says. "No, not yet. I was going to ask Ames."
"Well you were too late." Erick smirked. "You really are a jerk."
"I know. But at least I've got Amy."
"You only use her."
"You don't know that."
"Yes I do."
"Listen up, little boy and listen good. Amy will never be with you. She and I may not last, but she won't date someone like you."
"Shut up."
"Make me."
Brayden stayed silent.
"What I thought."

A few minutes later, Amy came back with a book in hand. "What did you get, babe?" Erick asked. "The Lost Soul." Amy answers, taking the seat beside him. "Haven't you read this book five times?"
"Yes, but it's amazing! Theres romance, drama, mystery, and adventure! My perfect book!"

Brayden smiled,"I love that book too!" Amy smiled back and they high fived,"Finally! Someone understand my love for books!" Amy says. The bell for class rang. "C'mon, Amy. Let's get you to class." Erick said, taking her hand. Amy got up from the table, grabbed her backpack, and started to walk with Erick. She turned around and waved to Brayden. He waved back.

Brayden watched Amy and Erick exit out the doors. Erick's right. How can I get a girl like Amy? He thought. But really, how?

As Amy walked to class with Erick, she caught him starring at Hillary Jones, one of the most hottest girls at the school. "Do you like Hillary?" Amy asked. Erick snapped out of his trance and looked at Amy,"Course not. I love you." He said, smiling. His smile isn't as joyful and honest and Brayden's. Amy smiled back.

She couldn't stop thinking about Brayden. He was her best friend. But then her mind switched to Erick. She had to face the fact that she was with Erick. Wether she likes it or not. Her mind played a slideshow of all her great times with Erick. Amy doesn't officially love Erick, she has no love yet. She doesn't just want to give in, that's not how love works.

After thoughts, she went back to finishing her math assessment. Amy turned in her paper and sat back down. She began to draw hearts and stars. Before she finished the shading on the biggest heart (which was in the middle of the paper), a paper ball landed on her desk. She looked around her.

Amy opened the paper:
Hoe, you don't deserve anyone. Especially Erick. He's too hot for your own good! Slut!

Amy felt tears in the back if her eyes. She crumpled it again and threw it away. She wiped her eyes and stayed strong.

Amy went to her usual table of Brayden, Erick, and Hillary. Hillary has always been the fashionista, the popular, the rich girl, and the bitch. "Hey Ames." Brayden said. She smiled and replied,"Hi Brayden." Amy took the seat next to him.

Soon, Erick sat on the other side of Amy and Hillary sat on the other side of Erick. They all started to eat. Brayden started feeling uneasy and the vision if Erick being a jerk flashed into his mind. He knows something is going on.

So, Brayden did his best to get Amy away from Erick by stealing her brownie. "Brayden!" She yelled. Brayden swallowed it, it was a small brownie, so he ate it quickly. Amy tried to punch him, but he got up and bolted for the field. Without hesitation, Amy ran after him at full speed. When she got there, Brayden was barely ahead of her.

Amy caught up and jumped on his back, wrapping her legs around his waist. Brayden grabbed her thighs. He whipped her to face him and rolled in the grass, cradling Amy's head. She squealed with laughter. They stopped rolling. They were both laying on the grass, looking at the sky and rolling in storm. One half of the sky was dark and cloudy, while the other was blue with barely any specks of clouds. "Are you okay?" Brayden asked. "Why wouldn't I be? I have a great friend." She replied. They starred deep into each other's eyes for a while and smiled. It was one of those cheesy romance moments. "As long as you're happy, I'm happy. Just call me anytime you need me." Brayden said. "Thanks Bray." Bray was Amy's nickname for him since he called her Ames. "Hey Brayden. Truth or dare?"
"Hmm..dare."
"Dare you to eat a piece of grass."
"Easy!" Brayden plucked a piece of grass and put it on his tongue. He made a disgusted face and spit it out,"Oh my god!" He said. Amy laughed.
"Alright, Ames. Truth or dare."
"Truth."
"Are you happy with Erick?"
"Well, sometimes he does get me a little annoyed and frustrated. Why?"
"Just making sure."
"I love it when you just make sure."
"Why?"
"Because, it makes me feel important."
"You are always important...well...to me anyways." Amy smiled. "Thanks Bray." She gently kissed his cheek, causing him to smile.
