E L S A

It wasn't easy for her.

She knew that he was still going to see her as nothing, nothing but a best friend.

Meet 18 year old Elsa Delle. A girl who experienced heartbreak as much as she had been crying. And that's quite a lot. She never knew why it didn't seem so obvious to him that she loved him for a long time. And now, she had to sit beside him...

...and his girlfriend.

She stepped in the bus and sat at the window seat, not minding the elaborate noise everyone around her made. Then, he came and her world turned into a blur.

His bleached hair messy as usual. His teeth pearly white. His backpack hanging on his shoulder. And his striking blue eyes that always made her heart skip a beat. He walked towards her and slumped onto his seat.

Elsa faced him and couldn't help but scoff. He wore his same old hoodie that she loved, and his brown denim shorts that seemed like he hadn't washed in weeks, his sneakers were a bit worn out but was in good shape. Jack looked at her and smirked.

"What? Can't I wear my favourite hoodie anymore?" He joked. She loved it when he does that. Even the corniest jokes he ever made were the best ones for her. Elsa shook her head.

"It's not that. It's just the fact that your shoes are all worn out, your hair is a mess, and your hoodie reeks. Yet you still have a.." Elsa choked at the words. But said it coolly for him not to notice. "...girlfriend." She choked. It pained her to say it, but maybe it was for the best for her to not have him.

"But no.." She thought. "I have to try..."

Her thoughts were cut off by Jack's sympathetic laugh. "I guess, I'm pretty lucky. Tooth does love me for who I am and that's fine by me." She frowned. What about her? Wasn't her love enough? Even though she was his best friend, couldn't she atleast have some extra credit? She was the one who introduced them to each other. Why not a thank you for giving up the thing that mattered to her the most and gave it to her cousin? Wasn't that love?

"Yeah. I guess so..." She murmured. The bus stopped once more and in came a very familiar passenger.

Her beautiful multicoloured bangs covering up her porcelain face. Her hypnotic bright purple eyes fluttering. And her feathery earrings dangling with grace. Elsa wished she was like her cousin. Every boy in school adoring her, a terrific student, and best of all, Jack's girlfriend.

She waltzed towards them and she kissed Jack's cheek. Elsa frowned but immediately forced herself to smile. Tooth smiled back at her but she squinted her eyes and frowned a bit. Elsa knew she was examining her. Trying to guess what was wrong. Elsa shook her head and Tooth did a slight nod. She turned to Jack and Elsa went back to staring out the window.

It started to rain, and Elsa felt something wet on her sleeve. A tear fell from her face and she immediately wiped it away. It's too late for you now...

She tried telling herself those words, but she didn't want to let him go..
