Rachel's POV
I woke up to my alarm ringing in my ear. Most days I would just hit the snooze and drift back to sleep but today, considering that my dad was literally yanking me off my bed, I wasn't finding it the easiest thing to do. Dad always seems to be stressed on the first day of school. Always trying to actually get me excited to go to the one place that I hate the most.
After dad finished pulling me off the bed, I got up and shooed him away. Then I closed the door and put on the black sweater and skinny jeans I had put out the night before. I opened the door and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
On the walls were pictures of my dads and me when I was 5. One of the only good memories I had with them. Now, whenever I look at them, I just think of two broken people who lost love.
Boxes of cereal were already set out on the counter. I grabbed a bowl of Frosted Flakes and
I ran up to the bathroom to finish getting ready for school. As I was brushing my teeth, I looked at myself in the mirror. 'Senior year,'I thought to myself. 'One more year of slushies and perfect cheerleaders until I can finally achieve my dream. Broadway.' I smiled to myself and continued brushing. Then, I put on my eyeliner and eyelashes. Most people called me raccoon eyes last year for wearing a bit to much so I've learned to dim it down a bit.
I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. "Time to go to hell," I said to myself.
So this is the first part of my new fanfiction. I have another fanfic on my Instagram account @_finchel_fanatic_ so if you want, you can go read it.
Please tell me if you want more.
P.S. if you couldn't already tell by the cover, I'm making Rachel look like her when she was Tina.
