I lay on a hard surface, groaning, my eyes don't want to open, but somehow they do, and I'm exhausted. As I lay there, the beautiful blue sky seems to smile at me. For a moment, I enjoy the heat of the sunrays soaking into my olive skin. I feel slightly confused as I watch the many trees sway in the nice breeze. From this angle, the trees look as if they're reaching for the sun, competing for its warmth. After laying there for about an hour, I Start to wonder why I'm outside & why I can't remember anything from the night before. Who was I with? Where was I going? Why am I naked & why do I feel so worn out? Getting up too fast, I get slightly light-headed. I feel a little hungover. Dirt & grass stick to my skin, like I was sweating overnight. Dusting myself off slowly, I look around. There's large river that looks like it'd stretch for miles, there's a small bank of sand that my clothes lie on. Taking small steps, I put on my clothes & begin digging through the pockets. "My cellphone!" Turning it on, its almost dead as it is, and there's no point in wasting it's battery if I don't get service out here anyway. "What am I going to do..?" I ask myself, & I really don't know. I've never been in a situation like this. I'm not even the "get out of the house" type of person. "Hello..?" I ask. No answer. Soon I decide it'd probably be best if I followed the river, maybe it'd lead to a road back to civilization. "Left or right?" I ponder this thought for a moment. I could either be leading myself further into the wilderness, or, I could be finding a way home. For some reason, I decide to go left. Which got me nowhere, after about three hours of walking, I decide to turn my phone on to see what time it was, and possibly if I had any service by now. And no luck. Daylight was burning, and it'd soon be getting dark. Hollering for someone to hear me was obviously hopeless, but it was still worth a try, "hello?!" & nothing. Realization soon set in and I realized that I probably was only going to survive for a mere three days before I starved & I wasnt going to be found.
