Maybe I shouldn't have asked. Lucas looked pale and sick.

"I'm sorry," I stood up. "I shouldn't have asked.

"It's fine," he sighs and set Lia down. Lia ran out of the room. "Why do you ask that? Are you different?"

I nod. It's best, to tell the truth, we are going out now. I don't want any secrets.

"I'm not human," I said. "So answer my question. Are you a demon?"

"Ah," he scratches the back of his head. "Yes." I stepped back. "Why did you step back? Do you not like demons?"

I look away.

"I'm a fairy," I said. Lucas looked at me.

Not sure how long we stayed like this in silence. But it seemed forever.

"Then you fear us?" He asked.

"Yes," I said truthfully. "We fairies fear the demons. Because they kidnap us and use us to birth their children."

"What?" Lucas frowned. "My grandfather would never let that happen. Besides I'm not all human. I'm half vampire." I looked at him. His half vampire. "From my mother side."

"I didn't know," I frown. "No wonder it was difficult for me to know what you were."

"Aine, I would never hurt you," he said. "I didn't even now fairy exist. My grandfather told me they went extinct."

"No," I shook my head. "We went into hiding. We fear the demons more than any other species."

"Well it's been years then," Lucas spread his arms. "My grandfather is in charge now. He punishes those that don't obey his rules. He doesn't hurt anyone unless it's punishment."

I stepped forward a bit but kept my distance. "We fear demons," I said. "A demon took my sister. My older sister. A demon is a reason why I forgot my half my memories."

"I am sorry," Lucas pulled me down and held me. And I wasn't afraid. "You know I would never hurt you."

"I know," I smile. "Lance is human. And Irene?"

"Irene half warlock," Lucas said. I knew it I had my suspicion. "Lance is adopted."

"Ah," that I knew too. Irene told me.

"Don't be afraid, my family isn't bad," he said.

"He's right we aren't," I gasp. I pulled away from Lucas and turned around. An older man stood there.

"Aine, this is my grandfather, Chaos," Lucas introduced us. "Grandfather, this is Aine, my girlfriend."

"Well hello," Chaos seemed nice. "Do not fear; my people won't harm any fairy. There's a law now. Those who disobey it get punished. Your people are safe, Princess Aine."

"Princess?" Lucas looked at me.

"How did you know?" I asked.

"I know many things," Chaos said. "Well, you may not know. But the reason why you all were able to come out from hiding. Was because of the treaty, your father and I made."

"What?" I didn't know that.

"You didn't know?" I shook my head. "He must've had kept it a secret from a reason. But rest assure I'm planning on keeping this treaty how it is. I want us all to get along."

I nod.

"See nothing to worry about," Lucas said holding me.

"Ah," I wonder could he help me.

"Want to ask me something," Chaos smile. "Go ahead."

"Hm well," how should I say it. "I was wondering you made the treaty. Did you get the demons that had fairies?"

"Yes," Chaos said. "We send them back to their homes. Unfortunately, some didn't make the trip back home. Others did. Your father kept the surviving victims in a safe place where they could rehabilitate. And they are still there. Were you looking for someone specific?"

"Yes," I look down. "My older sister, Alvina."

"Hmm," Chaos seem pensive. "I know many of your kind were kill. And to tell you the truth, sometimes they would burn the bodies. Or bury them. Or throw them in a ditch. Until now we are still recovering bodies. It's still a slow process, but I'm determined to return them to their homes. It's not just fairies. There are humans as well. And other species."

"Oh," I look down. "I've hope my sister is alive."

"We won't know," Chaos said. "I'll admit, some demons don't obey me. But I always catch them." He looked at me. "This will be the first time a fairy dated a demon. And it's not bad. It will be good. Will be even better if a marriage would form."

Lucas choked on his saliva. I patted his back. "Grandpa," Lucas recover.

"What, it was just a suggestion," Chaos smile. "I'll leave you two alone. I promise you'll be the first to know if we find your sister body. Or something that will indicate that she's deceased."

"Thank you," I got the courage to hug him.

"Your welcome," he said. I step back.

After he was gone, I sat down on the bed. I felt happy. I felt lighter like a significant weight was lifting. Maybe that's what I needed. To confront a demon and I did it wasn't bad.

"Sorry about my grandpa," Lucas said. "The whole marriage thing."

"It's fine," I lean against him. "Besides at my age, I'm supposed to be married. We fairies marry at the age of 15."

"Really?" Lucas shook his head. "That's wrong. I mean, you should be able to live your life. To enjoy your teenage days."

"I know," I smile. "But it's tradition. Thought father lets us choose now. Some families enforced the tradition; others don't."

"Oh, so your father doesn't enforce it?" I shook my head. "Good." I look at him we are close now. It felt strange.

My belly felt strange the closer I got. As we did, I felt shy, and I was blushing way too much. My back began to tickle. But I didn't want to stop getting close to him.

We were close enough that our noses touch. I licked my lips. Don't know why I did that. I just felt nervous.

"Aine," Lucas kiss me. It was a light kiss. Just a peck. "Sorry." I blush uncontrollably, and my wings pop out. "Ah, Aine."

"I know," I sigh. "It happens when I blush a lot." Lucas chuckled.

"They're pretty," he said and kissed me again and again.

I eventually kiss him back. I never really kissed anyone before. It was my first time. And I like it; it was beautiful.

We kissed for a long time. Then we pull apart since my phone rang. It was my sister.

"My sister is waiting outside," I said. "I'll see you tomorrow. "

"Yes," he walked me to the door. "See you tomorrow." We kiss once more before I walk toward my sister. My wings folded back into my back.

I touch my lips. It's a new experience for me. And I wonder what more will I learn.
