Emma's POV
"Honey, we love you! We will be back in a few weeks, just a business trip, Alex and Chase will make sure you stay safe." says Emma's mother and father. "I love you guys too, be safe!" I say, as I hug them tightly. I watch them walk out the door, and I instantly go upstairs to call my best friend Katie to ask if she can come over. A few minutes later I get a knock on the door. I go to get it, and Katie walks in. "Hey girl" I cheer, because we haven't seen eachother since I moved to a private school. Katie asks if we can go to my pool outside, so we get our swimsuits on and head outside to the large fenced in pool. "Wow, it's so much bigger then I expected." Katie says. We begin to play in the pool and practice our backflips. When suddenly I hear a gunshot very close, my ears ring from the awful sound. Katie and I begin to freak out. We run inside and go to the basement to hide. "Katie this isn't good" I whisper. We hear another gunshot. I screech in terror. Katie and I decided to hide under the table that is against the wall, I pull a box in front of us to hide our bodies a little. A few minutes later, I hear a man scream "I KNOW YOUR HERE SOMEWHERE!" I get terrified as the man walks down the basement stairs, what am I going to do if he walks up to us? What if he gets us? All these thoughts raced through my mind. I hear his footsteps getting closer, when all of a sudden he yells "GOTCHA!"
