I felt her head resting on my bare arm. My arm was getting a cramp, but I didn't care. I didn't care because even just hearing her breathing made me quiver in butterflies. Her eyes closed looking like an angel and her blonde wavy unbrushed hair sprawled out on me. I thought about the song "She Keeps Me Warm" by Mary Lambert. Scarlett did keep me warm, with just her smile. The way the corners of her mouth spread across her face and her dimples right beside them. I could picture every aspect of her. How she would bang her fist on the table while she laughed. I remember one time making her laugh so hard she snorted. She was so embarrassed; her face flamed bright red. Watching her sleep was probably going to be one of my happiest moments. My mind wandered to how I possibly got here. I imagined the month before now; when I had met Scarlett and we began our relationship.
